I replaced an older, dead 80 lb. Furman power conditioner with this cheaper Furman. It's a quality unit, and it installed easily in my home theater rack. A few days ago, I had a series of power surges. An AV preamp, 3 power amps, CD player, Blu-ray, and satellite receiver were plugged into the Furman. They all survived the trauma intact. My video projector and motorized screen are on separate circuits, and they aren't plugged into the Furman. Although they didn't sustain damage, the spike nuked them and I had to do a few hours of troubleshooting and resetting. I may buy another another Furman to protect the rest of the system. Great product.

Do you need to make sure the power going into your stuff is clean. This is it, 20 amps is great. Tons of power.

The power in my area is terrible. It fluctuates allot and power interruptions are often. You need these things to save your equipment. It’s built like a tank and works well.

I purchased 4 of these units brand new from two resellers in the hopes of setting up a multi-circuit 20AMP X4 setup and realized after I placed the first order of 3 I forgot to order another unit.In purchasing the other unit, the package that came was a "PL-Pro DMC E". This is nothing like seen in the picture when purchasing as the front of the unit clearly has a IEC power hookup and the switch is totally different (look at my included pictures). Additionally the back power connectors are all IEC as well. The main issue was the 2-prong 20AMP European plug to the C19 which this is useless to me.At first thought, I figured it was a simple mistake as both units probably do look somewhat alike so I gladly processed the advanced return to send the old one back and have a replacement sent. Here is the problem encountered, the pictures above are of the replacement unit! Now I am all for giving 2nd chances however, two mistakes in a row??? This is not acceptable and unfortunately reflects negatively on Amazon however, when looking deeper, the issue lies with the re-seller "Sound Systems" as they are shipping the product on behalf of Amazon. Since then I have asked for a refund back and I will attempt to see if I can purchase the unit again later by trying to direct my purchase to a different reseller.Long story short, Furman's are amazing products, Amazon resellers it seems can be hit or miss for accuracy for fulfillment. Hence the overall rating and the "Accuracy" rating as this is NOT a product issue.

This is an amazing product. Furman is the leader in this industry and they have come through with flying colors. Like being able to see both the Voltage and Amperage being used. Case is VERY heavy duty and should give me years of durable service. Item was shipped in perfect condition.

I guess it is doing its job. I have a few expensive and sensitive electronics so I bought this. I am not an electrical engineer so I cannot tell you how well this works compared to others.All I can say is it still works and I have had no problems with noise or anything else with my equipment.

Really, 4-1/2 stars. The PL Pro DMC is a great unit and does a great job of keeping the buzzes and hums out of my project studio. In fact, I have two of them. The front-panel USB is handy to charge all sorts of USB devices. My one gripe with the USB port is that, confirmed by Furman, it is USB 1 spec, which means that it is 500mA, while some newer devices (like the new iPad) take a while to charge.All in all, though, a great solution for my power needs.
