It works perfectly on our little camper. Perfect for seeing what’s going on behind the camper while travelling. Dont need huge mirrors on our vehicle. Picture is clear. Love it

My travel trailer was pre wired for a furrion camera so it only took about 5 minutes to pop the faceplate off, connect the camera and button it back up.Had some trouble with the camera disconnecting until I realized it is designed to only work if the running lights are on. Once I made that change in the truck, the camera worked flawlessly. It did have some slight delay/pixelization when driving but it was manageable.

I powered them up and immediately it was working perfectly. I then installed the camera on the back of the trailer then got back in the truck plugged the monitor in and turned on the lights to power the camera and it was working perfectly. This is just a cheap insurance for when I pull in for gas and if I need to back up it’s done safely now. We’ve been towing trailers for over 50 years and I’m ashamed it took this long to just make things work so much easier.

I have an Aliner trailer and just got a 2025 Ford Lariat Maverick Hybrid AWD 4000# tow hitch. You can not see around my trailer with the mirrors and this is the best solution.

After a purchasing a Furrion "compatible" back up camera for our RV and being quite disappointed (which we promptly returned) we decided to go with an original Furrion since our RV was pre-wired. It is absolutely plug & play - we had the camera installed and the monitor set up in less 20 minutes. The monitor (ours is the 5" model) is beautiful quality; light and easy to attach to the windshield. Although it is capable of using up to 4 cameras, we are only using it for one at the rear of the unit. We've recently used it for parking our RV and it worked perfectly, giving a large field of view. It also has an audio function where the driver can easily hear someone at the back of the unit providing direction if needed, so the microphone has good pickup. In theory, that person could converse with the driver but, for me (the directing person), the camera speaker is too high to clearly hear anything being said. May work well for someone who doesn't have hearing issues though. Although the cost was considerably higher than the original "compatible" kit we ordered, I think it was ultimately worth the money. I would recommend the Furrion Vision S, particularly if you have a pre-wired RV.

This is not the first one I purchased for the rv. I originally purchased a competitive brand that boasted 250’ range (no obstructions). That being said, at about 50’ the display was less than adequate. When it failed to work at all I purchased this furion observation camera. So far so good. It’s rated at 50’ with obstructions and it still works. At high speeds it may get jumpy or lose signal. Although it’s rare.the camera is crystal clear the night vision is spot on.The 5” monitor is all I needed for my one camera. If I added more cameras I probably would op for the larger monitor.Easy to install although my 5th wheel was prewired with a furion mount.I certainly would recommend this camera and buy again.I am thinking of buying a range extender at some point maybe.

Our new travel trailer came with the mounting for this camera so we bit the bullet and purchased this camera.Having a view behind you is a huge stress reliever! Well worth every penny. We mounted the camera on the back of the trailer where indicated. As mounted, we have only a very small blind spot on the left and right of the vehicle and trailer where the side mirrors don't pick up traffic. The night view is excellent, as are the colors and visibility during the day. The option to upgrade with additional side cameras is a huge plus which will take advantage of in the upcoming years. The kit came with all the necessary mounting hardware and cabling to mount ourselves but didn't have to use it since our trailer already had the mounting bracket installed. The instructions looked fairly simple but can't speak to the ease of installation without the pre-installed mounting bracket. Most definitely worth the money. And will be moving the camera to our next trailer when it's time to upgrade campers.

I am using it as a rear camera on my 27’ camper towed behind my truck that is a 3/4 ton super cab with an 8’ bed (just so you know the distance I’m working with). When setting it up I didn’t have to do anything special. Seriously - I powered the camera up off the pigtail on the screen power cord while sitting on the front seat of the truck and it just connected immediately. The only setting changes I made were to flip the image to a mirror image as it made more sense in my head while driving and then I also killed the audio since I’m planning on using it for security or anything like that. Picture quality is good although I think the screen’s resolution could benefit from being a hair higher. I was originally going to get the 4.3” screen but after looking at some representations between a few iPhones concluded that the 5” screen was a worthy jump for only a little more money. The camera easily mounted to the existing fin and wiring on my camper but that was expected as the RV manufacturer fits them out that way. But any way it works well, signal reliability is rock solid, and definitely gives you more confidence in lane changes on the road. Helpful also during parking but the road visibility was my main purpose for installing it.

I purchased a Furrion FOS05TASF 5" Vision observation system in July. Even though I could find it somewhat cheaper elsewhere I bought it from Amazon because of their hassle free return policy. I installed it soon after I received it, the monitor powered on, the camera worked and I seemed to get a decent picture, that was the extent of checking it out at the time. Due to work and travel commitments I wasn’t able to try it out thoroughly on a trip until now and unfortunately I’m well beyond the merchandise return window or I’d send it back. I’m leaving tomorrow on a long trip with the 5th wheel and wanted to go through the monitor and camera settings and familiarize myself with it. I didn’t want to have to fiddle with it while driving down the road. I wanted to turn on the “on screen guidance” for backing to see if it was beneficial for me, this is where the trouble started. From the menu screen I could touch and highlight a selection to bring me to the submenu but that’s about it. Touching the items on the submenu screens would not allow me to select any of them including the back button so I have to press the on/off/menu button to return to the menu screen which is pretty much useless to me if I can’t select anything. The troubleshooting section of the instruction manual doesn’t address this problem and I see no reset button anywhere on the monitor. At least I get a picture of behind my trailer. Hope I can see behind it while I’m on my trip. I’ll contact Furrion and see if they can help me with the settings.I’ve read lots of negative reviews on these cameras and was hesitant to spend $500 on something with such random reviews but the reviews on any other RV camera system I found, wireless or wired weren’t any better.
