I like the larger screen compared to the Edge 130 I had before, but it takes a while to learn all the options and the procedures to change some of these options/settings are not very intuitive.

Las mejorías que tiene este producto sobre los anteriores son enormes. Sí recomiendo ampliamente el solar, ya que aumenta considerablemente la duración de la batería e incluso si está cerca de una ventana se carga mientras duerme. Este nuevo producto puede ponerse a dormir como una computadora no es necesario apagarlo.

Setting up the screens was not intuitive at first but soon got the hang of it. Like the solar charging seems like it will help

The display surface is reflective making it VERY difficult to read in sunlight. The set-up and operation is complex & difficult to understand. I returned it.

I’ve used various Edge models for many years, quite successfully. This unit drops my power meter and HR sensor connections repeatedly in the middle of rides. Attempts to reconnect during rides don’t work. I use two different well-known power meters and a Garmin HRPro strap, and make sure batteries are 100% prior to riding, so I’m pretty sure the problem lies with the Edge 540 Solar. Garmin support has been useless and says their warranty is 30 days (WTF?). I am 10 days past my return window so looks like I am screwed.Maybe I simply received a defective unit but I can’t exchange it to find out, hence the one star rating.
