Fantastic watch in every aspect. Very lightweight, yet doesn't feel cheap. Extremely reliable battery life. Durable enough for rough, every day use. Garmin Connect links flawlessly. Have tested point to point and LOS navigation, both are easy to use and understand. Couldn't ask for a better watch at this pricepoint.

I was worried about buying a refurbished unit, but ultimately the price point made the difference. I had some slight issues while the product was still under warranty, however, Garmin Support was able to get them resolved. Then 2 months after the 90 day warranty was up the unit had the same issues only this time I (or Garmin Support) could not fix them. Customer supports only solution was for me to purchase another unit at a 20% discounted rate for another refurbished unit.

This does so many things for such a reasonable price.I just wanted a durable smart timepiece mostly for health and activity metrics. I wanted app notifications and basic messaging. It does this impeccably and a lot more stuff that I don't expect to use. Spending significantly more to get color was not a priority. I've also had issues with touchscreen watches and didn't need that either. There are lots of faces available and the customizability is amazing.You can also get tons of apps for controlling other devices, navigation, different sport specific apps, etc. Check out some of the online reviews.Display is readily visible in daylight and from what I've managed to do, the sensors are quite good as well. My only "con" so far is the exposed charging port that will collect grunge and may corrode over time. Come on Garmin. I got the little (inexpensive )silicon plugs that should protect the charge port. Going to try a different band more my style even though the stock band is ok.The Garmin connect app is also quite good though I'm still exploring.

The battery lasts almost 3 weeks. With solar power you will get even better performance. I was looking for a good watch for sailing and it has everything I need. ABC sensors, tides app, sunset/sunrise, compass and even GPS. There are tons of features including sleep monitoring, heart rate, SpO2, different sports modes including swimming and many more. I would buy it again.

It's not the fanciest, but they are a decent price and rugged, and have all the functions I need for running and biking. The tracking of activities (not including weight lifting) seem to work well. I havent used it for weight lifting as of yet.The solar battery is questionable. I dont know how long you would have to leave the watch out in the sun to actually make a difference. Probably just buy the one without the solar

This watch is amazing. it’s super rugged, durable, and very functional. i’m a paratrooper and several of my past smart watches have broken/cracked on landings. this watch has seen around 20 jumps since i have got it and it works just as well as when i got it. additionally it has many exercise options that will track your data and sync it to your phone. i would definitely recommend this watch

I loved my Instinct but my Instinct's battery finally gave out after about four years so I upgraded to the its successor. It's in every way superior but is faithful to the original. Same amazing e-ink display but higher resolution, which is surprisingly helpful. Same amazing battery life. I got the solar again, but I'm never really sure how much I'm getting for it. Still like it's there. It's the e-ink display that made me buy the first one: it's impossible to beat in daylight and sips batteries. The buttons feel more solid. It comes in three sizes now, I stuck with the original size. I was unhappy I couldn't upgrade the battery in the first one (probably can't in this one) but the new features made me happy I upgraded. It's all familiar, just more stuff you didn't know you wanted. Very happy with it.
