I was unhappy when the button on my gear shift broke for my 2014 Verano, and thought I was in for an expensive repair. But thanks to this gear shift knob, we were able to repair it in 15 minutes for $15! A YouTube video made the job simple, we broke off the silver ring with pliers and the rest was an easy install following the instructions. My Buick has dark brown interior, but the black knob looks great. Highly recommend!

Arrived super quick, and well packed. Had the dreaded shift button tabs break. Had to use a pen to get the car in gear till this arrived. Do, not, believe the videos that tell you it just comes right off. Lies, all of them. To see why the old one refuses to simply pull up, and off. Look into the new one, notice the metal pin. That U shaped pin is pressing into a slot on the shifters shaft. You need to either break, or find a way to get that bottom plastic piece to drop down to get at that clip. Once pried free the old shift knob will finally lift off. Simply slide this new one on with the button depressed. You'll hear a click, done. Pull up the leather boot reapply a new zip tie, and carefully put the surround back in place. Looks good once installed with a touch of difference in the color, and is of good quality. Was a fair price compared to what the dealership quoted me. Was even worse when asked about installing it..

My son and I changed the shift lever knob on my 2015 Buick Verano when the button broke. We watched various videos until we had a good idea of what we needed to do. We took off the old knob and reattached the new knob to the leather cover and then pushed the new knob down on the lever. It works great. Good as new. It took about 30 minutes to change. We saved a bunch of money doing it ourselves.

The knob has a good quality look. It's easy to install; you have to twist and pull hard at the same time in order to remove it. I recommend it.

Product was a perfect fit, hardest part of install was removing broken gear shifter. Simply remove the lower chrome ring that is attached to the boot by any means even if you break the plastic component since there is a new one provided. I used a solid grip set of pliers to do so. Then the new replacement snaps right in! Check out you tube for vids really straight forward DIY. saved $$$ and time

Worked great, but would have been helpful to have instructions. No instructions provided - although following a YouTube video it was installed.

Cut the clamp holding the leather pouch to the bottom of shifter. When finished installing the new shifter just reattach the leather with a slim zip tie. Remove the old shifter by pulling hard and wiggling it at the same time and eventually it will pop off. The new simply presses on.

Installed in my 2012 Buick Verano. Fit was perfect and it was really easy to install. Took less than 15 minutes (including taking out the old one). Feels luxurious and looks great!

My bad forgot to take them before and after pics. But this knob fit well and just in time for winter. The color is awesome goes with the trim color of most cars and for the value of affording it is great for us. If you leave your cars out in the sun too long it will start deteriorate making the plastic or top leather soft and prone to damage. So for the best value for your money keep your cars shaded in especially hot days and these should last long.

Turns out crumbling gearshift buttons are common on Verano/Cruze levers (and whatever other models use the same thing). But I was delighted to find this for only $15! If I had taken it to a shop, just imagine how much more it would have cost.It is a CINCH to install. As far as removing the old, broken one, don't be afraid: you'd think you will break something, but you won't. Just grab that thing and YANK it off the column while wriggling it back and forth. You won't break anything; trust me.Installation is as simple as it gets! Just slide the new one on until it stops, then give it a gentle "pop" with your fist (or less gentle, if it didn't work the first time), and on it goes. Pull up the "skirt" (the whole center console trim) and put a THIN zip-tie around the leather, but make sure it goes into that "groove" that the beautiful new knob you just bought has.(I say this because I missed it the first time, grrrr)It looks perfect, and works perfectly. $15 vs. $150 (or more) to have a shop do it? That's a no-brainer for me!
