These were extremely stiff when new, but after applying WD-40 generously to the hinge and letting it sit for 10 mins they’ve been working great for over a month! Perfect for med and vet students to practice with, the scissors are plenty sharp for trimming suture. My school’s student instrument packs included separate scissors and mayo-hegar needle holders, but these are infinitely better. All the doctors I’ve shadowed use Olsen-hegars and I’m so happy to have found an affordable option to learn with.
