This Ethernet Splitter 1 to 4 by gliship is an excellent network splitter. You don’t lose the speed when connecting from all ports. It’s lightweight with a metal encasing. You will need to plug into a usb A plug to power the splitter. It’s capable connecting with CAT 5 - 8 Ethernet cables.

This is basically a five port gigabit Ethernet switch that gets powered by USB-C connectivity. You can use it for a Raspberry Pi cluster, connecting devices in a home entertainment rack silently, or for an aggregation point on a workbench (which is what I've got it doing right now).Seems to do exactly what I wanted - also useful for travel, which is why at $20 with coupon, I'm planning to get a second one soon.

The build quality of this hub is nice, status lights for each port in working order. The input port is not marked, but there is a stamp on the hub that displays 1 input to 3 outputs, corresponding with the sides of input. However, the hub has two ethernet connections on either side. For space reasons the reason for this is obvious, but maybe change the diagram up a bit?Now for the input channel I went left to right per standard, and it worked. I am not sure if it would work the other way around though. The functionality of the hub is just as expected; however due to its light nature, the hub ends up kind of floating in the air suspended by all the cords unless fasted down by something. No problems with the product itself though.

The use cases for this splitter is limited to your imagination. It can be used with your existing router, computer or anything that has an Ethernet port, allowing you some additional ports. I had a small mini PC with single network port which I used for virtualization. But now with this splitter, I will be setting up a home firewall. I also tested on my regular Windows desktop computer, it worked fine without issues. The splitter has aluminum shell, both network and USBC power input on the back. Overall, great little gadget that serves its purpose. Nothing to configure, nothing to setup really. Just unbox and use.

The Gigabit Ethernet Splitter, gliship High-Speed 1000Mbps Network Splitter with USB Power Cable, RJ45 LAN Splitter Adapter for Cat 5/5e/6/7/8 Cable (Ethernet Spltter 1 to 4) is a convenient, handy unmanaged switch. This switch has a lot going for it. It is very compact in size. This is a real plus because it fits in a space where many other, larger switches won't fit. Also, it is powered by a USB C cable which is much more handy than most switches that use a dedicated power supply. The USB C connector is easier to deal with because it is not limited to the length of the cable that comes with the switch. The switch works well and interfaces just fine with the rest of my gigabit network and operates at network speed.

We have been having issues with our WiFi internet lately with the new equipment that the internet company decided to start using that totally sucks.Anyway, my husband and I work from home and our kids do online school so having internet that is actually working is essential. We knew we needed a way to get our computers hard wired to the internet. With this box we were easily able to do that. Just plug it in and it works! It's great! My only areas of improvement would be the box was very misleading, it said video converter which made me confused when I received it from Amazon. Luckily though, it was the Gigabit Ethernet Splitter that I had ordered.Like many products these days, this has a USB power cable but it doesn't come with an adapater to plug it into a regular outlet. Again, very typical for low power electronics these days just noting that in case someone doesn't realize. The last thing is it doesn't have a spot on it to easily hang it on the wall as some people may want to be able to do.All in all though, I'm very pleased with this Gigabit Ethernet Splitter and glad to have a back up plan for when WiFi decides to go down again.
