Starting with what I like; it does seem to accurately measure distance. The reading I got matched the mile markers on the trail. It also seemed accurate in regard to average speed based on how long it took me to ride the distance I went. Despite the instructions making it look complicated; it actually attaches to the handlebar very easily with a couple bands that crisscross each other and snap to clips on the unit. Extra mounting materials are also included. It was a little smaller than I expected, but that's probably a good thing. I wouldn't want a 6.3-inch box (as the description states) attached to my handlebar. On the downside, the current speed reading fluctuated greatly. I noticed it go directly from 14 mph to 7 mph at one point. The only way that could have actually happened is if I hit a tree or something. Mostly, however, I was disappointed at how difficult it is to set up, change readings, clear, etc. You need to refer to codes in the instruction manual and use a combination of short and long presses on either the power button, mode button, or both. I've included a photo of the instructions so you can see for yourself. Once you get it figured out, it's definitely better than the little clickity-clack things that go on the wheel, but getting it figured out is a challenge (for me anyway).

I was very impressed with this bike computer from several standpoints. Being a stand-alone GPS unit, there's really nothing to setup: just follow the instructions on how to change the settings between metric and English, and how to set the time. Otherwise, no wheel magnets, wheel diameter inputs, etc. And nothing to install on the bike other than the unit itself and its mount. In use, the large display is very readable - something I particularly appreciated. Plus, it displays three lines of data. I have mine set for current speed, ride time, and distance. It's also very light. Not that a bike computer is going to heavily impact your weight, but this one is lighter than most. I also found it held a charge quite well; after a 1.5 hr ride it didn't show any drop in the charge level on the screen, and took a relatively short time to fully recharge. The handlebar mount is similar to a GoPro mount, and held in place by some elastic bands. That probably isn't the most robust way to mount a unit, at least compared to the clamp mounts, but I've never had a failure of that type of mount (frequently used with tail lights). Note that you'll need to allow sufficient room around the computer to turn it 90 degrees to install and remove. It was a little tough to remove when I got back from my ride today; I had to hold the mount and give it a very firm twist. The side buttons are effective, but it would be nice if they were a little larger and extended out the side bit for easier access. But those are small nits; overall I really liked this bike computer. Interestingly, I used some GPS software on my phone when I rode to compare with this GPS bike computer; the average was the same, although the distance was slightly different, with my phone showing 20.38 miles and this computer showing 20.2 miles. I have no idea which is more accurate, but they were close enough for my purposes.

There are a lot of things to like about this bike computer. While someone mentioned that it’s not a true computer, I think that’s more semantics than anything else. It does compute your speed, distance, and time, so calling it a computer is okay with me. While I think it could turn out to be a 5-star product, I can only give it 4 stars today.I’ll list what I like about this item and what I don’t.PROS1. This has a large display with large fonts. Larger than all the other bike computers I have.2. The measurements are very bright and easy to read.3. The backlight display works well in sunlight compared to others I have. You can see how bright the backlight looks in the second picture attached.4. I like the USB-C charging port compared to the batteries needed in my other computers.*5. The speed and distance measurements are close, but not perfect.**CONS1. **On my first ride today, the distance was off by about 25%. That may be due to loss of GPS signal…I’m not sure. It was overcast today, but that should not account for such a large discrepancy.2. The instructions are printed in a very small font. You need a magnifying glass to read them.3. The instructions, to be kind, are not clear. You basically have to read the instructions and then play with the power and setting buttons to figure out how this thing works. Instructions could be much clearer.4. *While I like the USB-C charging, the charge won’t last more than a few rides at best. With CR2032 batteries in my other bike computers, I can go months without worrying about them not working due to low battery. If the charge runs out during a long ride, you’re not going to be able to track your speed or distance. With battery models, you can simply insert a new battery.5. I’m not comfortable with the rubber band mounting system. I just don’t trust a $40 item to two pieces of rubber. If they fail at 20mph, I will guarantee that you will run over this computer and render it useless. There has to be a better way to attach this to your handlebars. Until I find that better way, I’ll probably ride with this thing in my pocket.Overall, I like this bike computer. If I find a way to securely attach it and I can figure out why the distance was off, I will come back to add another star.
