500 meter? 30,000 lumen? Ya i seen the misleading pictures and wording and knew it wasnt true instantly. I collect headlamps and flashlights so i ordered anyway. I am calling this out head on, the description is no where near honest! This thing might have 3000 on low end and high end MAYBE 6000. If your like me its a nice buy for the collection but if your buying to get that 30,000 lumen, don't waste your money don't even think about it. Ridiculous that they are allowed to mislead with the description. I dont truly know the actual lumens but not what they claim at all. NOW on a positive note! The multiple features definitely are nice. I like the red and the white cob lights most because they light up the area around where im going to walk. For me living in town i will use the red so i dont flash the houses as i walk down the street. The tri light mode throws me off. The main 4 lights shine in 1 spot but when you have those an the 2 lights on the side of the head they make a triangle affect with the beam focus. I cant walk right with it doing that. If they were adjustable then id like it more. Definitely worth the money for the brightness it does have but dont think your buying for the lumens an capabilities they claim.

I was very surprised at how comfortable this headlamp is. I love the ratcheted adjustment in the back - makes it easier to put on and keep it in place. All of the different lighting modes make it a very versatile headlamp for every day use, camping and emergencies. Would highly recommend.

I've been a tent camper for over 50 years and celebrated the invention of LED headlights. Rechargeable headlights are no longer new, but this Super Bright LED Headlamp has some new-to-me features. The headband obviously has the front quad of LEDs, as well as the ones on each side of the headband. Not so obvious to me, were the yellow bands on each side of the front quad. Those two yellow bands are also LED strips which have their own light mode. Six distinct lighting modes, and bright, super bright! The wasn't an instruction sheet included, but the details on the Amazon page give enough clues. The control panel is on one of the side lights. There are two buttons; one is the power/selection button and the other is the "sound" button. Sound? Actually, it's the motion sensor button. Once activated, you can wave your hand near the control panel to turn the headlight off or on. Neat feature, but if you want the headlight off while you sneak up on someone while playing Capture the Flag, the light might suddenly come on if you get too close to a tree. Like everything, this headlight has negatives and positives, but I like the headlight and rate it five-stars.
