In the true tradition of Health o meter this scale does what you bought it for. Keep it in a solid level place and it will consistently tell you whether you're gaining or losing weight

The scale was purchased as a gift for a person with mental and physical challenges. It constantly required zeroing before weighing by tapping the scale several times before the needle indicated zero. Stepping on and off the scale several times after zeroing each time produced variations in weight measurement. Determined this was not the scale for this person and returned it.

I had to replace my previous Health o meter scale that I had been using for over 20 years. This one seems to be very accurate, and this is what I wanted.

This scale is very accurate. I compared my weight on it to my doctor’s scale. Absolutely on point. It does take some adjusting to start at zero, but the numbers don’t lie!

I just received this product today. I love that the numbers are easy to read and the size of the scale. I don’t love that every time I weigh myself I have to zero the scale out. It makes no sense. I’m gonna try it a few days and update the review.Updated: I’ve been using the scale for about a week. It’s definitely accurate but I do have to zero out every few times now. I’ve been using 3 different scales and they all read the same weight.

This is a big scale. Easy to read but the actual weighing is iffy. This will give you a different weight depending on how you stand on the scale and where you put your weight. For example if i stand with my weight on the balls of my feet, i weigh 3-5 pounds more than when i stand normally. Also there is a difference if you stand more to the front of the scale than to the rear. Not overly happy with this scale.

The Dial is HUGE, but oh so easy to read!!! My bathroom is small but efficient, 8 feet long by 38 inches. Several years ago we remodeled it, replaced the tub with a walk-in shower, new sink and long bowl toilet. This Scale fits by the wall, 8 inch diameter Dial end next to the toilet, is 18 inches long, 12 inches wide and 7 inches high at the Dial, body is 3 inches. So easy to slide out from wall. When I think of the time I spent with the Taylor Digital, about 12 inches square by 2 inches, stepping on, stepping off, bending over to read it, many, many times, different readings, finally selecting one, compared with this one, it is a no-brainer. The Dial reads to 300 pounds, will weight up to 400 pounds, needle going past zero. When I step on, the needle moves almost there and the rest of the way when I load the other foot. Instantly I can read my weight!!! I can do this twice in less than a minute!!!! NO GUESSING!!!!! WHY did I put up with that digital for so long???? This Health o Meter is QUICK AND FUN TO USE!!!!

For people like myself of the old school, this is the scale to buy. It has ample room for your feet. You step on it and read your weight. Some people who are more modern can rightly argue that the digital scales available are more accurate. But the accuracy they are obtaining is insignficant for my purposes. I found it sufficiently accurate. I went for my semi-annual visit to my doctor on Thursday. My weight was taken by the nurse on their new tall, expensive digital scale. On Friday I stepped on my Health O Meter; it read the same weight. Perhaps not to the ounce, but who cares? The scale is well-made and rugged, and very, very easy to read. I am a retired engineer and quite acquainted with the properties of bias, precision, and accuracy as they apply to instruments, such as my new scale. Since I am not concerned about the exact weight of a payload being shot into orbit, this scale is more than suitable to let me know if I am over-eating. The digital scale we already own requires you to touch it, step off, then step on. Even then the reading will vary depending on how hard you jump back on. This Health O Meter scale dial does waver with the person's movement, but you can see the average. You can't see that on a digital scale. You get one reading. If you want an average, you have to do the drill about five times.
