Bought this unit for icefishing/icecamping and I'm already impressed. Build quality is great without going overly heavy as to be a burden to pack around. I appreciate the tilt functionality for keeping the heat elevated to prevent excess water buildup on the ice. Very efficient on liquid propane, was able to get several hours per 1lb canister. I also like the deck system to keep a second canister warm and ready to go when the main tank runs out. Great value. Will be getting the adapter to run a 15lb or 20lb tank for longer multi-day trips.

The heat was very strong and perfect for cold mornings outside on the softball field. The only thing was when it’s in full blast, it will only last 1 1/2 hrs then the blast of heat decreases. It uses one can of propane at a time so you have to take one out and change it out to the other. That’s not as convenient but still worth it for the convenience of the compact size. It’s good looking as well. I would buy again.

I'm glad I followed Nate's recommendation on what propane heater to get. It works great, even in the dead of a Minnesota winter. In an uninsulated space, it puts out enough heat to keep 2 people warm. It goes through those camping propane canisters in about 1.5 hours, so I'd recommend getting the adapters to use a full-size propane tank.If you're having trouble starting it for the first time, don't forget to purge the lines by holding down the dial for at least 30 seconds.

Worked for about a week. While it lasted it was great. Full propane, won’t ignite even after button and pilot has been held for 2 minutes flame goes out once button releases.

Thr first one we got didn't work, wouldent stay lit for more than one minute, call the customer service number, VERY HELPFUL! we tried lighting it while she was on the phone with us , still wouldent light or stay lit. She shipped out a new one we had in two days and the replacement works great!

This is one of the best portable heaters, and great brand I use it in my hunting blind on low and a 1 lb propane tank lasts about 4.5 hrs. I like that it ticks back and it cools down pretty quickly! For the price it’s above and beyond, way more bang for your buck. The safety features are pretty good but as always be SELF AWARE IT IS A PROPANE HEATER, the guard does get very HOT!!! I can’t say it enough this 18,000 BTU HEAT HOG WORKS AMAZING!!!! I definitely recommend this!!!!!!!!!! P.S. I also like it stores a second tank in the back. It’s super easy to light and operate!

I really wanted to like this product. It had the makings of exactly what I was looking for with the tilt and low oxygen sensor. However, the ignition is just too unreliable. I’ve had this long enough now that I’ve run MULTIPLE 1lb tanks through it. It’s not my only heater of this style but it is my only Heat Hog. Unfortunately, it just won’t light sometimes. Sometimes you will hold the knob so long trying to light it that you smell gas and have to turn off start over.If it would just light more consistently it would be a better product. When it lights, it’s great. Would not recommend.
