That means you may need to tune and retune your ukulele a few times to get your desired note. It might take a bit longer, but it'll be worth it to get your sound just right!

Super cute and did the trick for my daughter’s first instrument. It’s durable, tunes great and she loves playing it. I love that it comes with the strap for when she wants to stand and play and I love that it comes with a booklet to kind of guide you in the right direction as a first timer.

I bought this for my 3-year-old grand son and he loves it! It is well constructed so young hands making mistakes are not critical. It stays in tune well and for the price, is quite good for a first instrument. Kids love the bright colors! I bought the pink version for his older sister at the same age, two years ago and their nightly concerts are a joy when I visit! Grandpa can play along with his ukes, as well. They make up songs on the spot so Grace VanderWahl, you can start a trio with these guys in a few years with tons of original songs!

I'm a sixteen year-old guy who normally plays guitar, but I wanted to try out ukulele too as kind of an add-on instrument. I got this as a Christmas gift from my parents last month. It's my first uke, so I wanted one on the cheaper side...but the instrument itself doesn't sound cheap at all!STRINGS: As other reviewers stated, the nylon strings do not come already tuned (tip: from bottom to top it's tuned GCEA). The strings wouldn't stay in tune for the first couple of days (which is expected because they need time to stretch and be "broken in"), but after re-tuning a couple times- they now stay almost perfectly in tune for long periods of time. Also an interesting thing is: I'm a lefty, but I had a friend take all the strings off and simply reattach them the opposite way and it works for left handed players! (warning: chords are different for right-handed players and left-handed players, so find left-handed ukulele chords online)UKULELE: The uke itself looks great and has no errors in its finish or in its build as far as I can see, and it sounds clean and crisp. It's also amazingly light in weight and easy to carry and hold. Other reviewers normally purchase the instrument for younger kids (5-13 years old), but a teenager or a grown adult can play the instrument too. And it's honestly pretty easy to play, especially if you already have some sort of experience with (in my case, a guitar) another string instrument.ACCESSORIES: Along with the instrument itself comes a black bag to carry it in. There's nothing special about the bag, but it makes carrying the uke around easier, and keeps the dust off of it. Three picks (red, green, and purple) of different widths come in a tiny bag as well. An Aztec themed strap comes with it, but I personally I don't like using it because of how it functions. I had difficulty figuring out how the strap worked at first, so I'll add my experience in the review: you clip the little black clamp on the end of the strap and attach it around the waist of the uke and to the soundhole and then put the loop around your neck. It feels weird and unnatural to me and doesn't support the instrument well (unlike a guitar strap) so I just don't use it.Overall I give the little uke five stars and would definitely buy again. Some examples of great musicians who use the ukulele are Tyler Joseph, Grace Vanderwaal, and Cavetown. Personally I love the instrument, and I'm a happy customer :)

Got this ukelele because I decided to learn how to play. I've always wanted a lute, but a ukelele is much more affordable and a great way to start, plus I thought it might be a good lead up to learn how to play the guitar I've had since I was 12! Haha.First off, I got the purple one, and I must say the color was absolutely beautiful. The paint finish was really nice, though there's a black smudge that was on it when it arrived, and almost looks like it was in the paint. It doesn't particularly bother me, and the nice shiny finish keeps this minor flaw from tripping me up.The strings are okay, and the sound has unwanted reverb, but I've read this can be changed by changing the strings to aquila instead of the nylon ones that come on the instrument. I purchased a pack when I purchased the instrument but cant' confirm this for certain as I did not change the strings. One comment I read a lot of was that the instrument comes out of tune very fast. This is true. However, if you give the strings a few days to set this problem stops. I've also read, again, that changing the strings can solve this faster. Essentially, though, the strings need to build up tension.Unfortunately, I can't go too much more in depth than this since I know virtually nothing about ukeleles still, but seems like a great enough starter Ukelele to me (:.

I LOVE this ukulele! So I started this journey of buying a ukulele with my 2 year-old wanting a hello kitty pink guitar advertised for Christmas in the toy catalogs. I went into one of the big box stores, tried one out and knew instantly it was a piece of junk. Those things do not hold a tune to save their lives. The Hello Kitty guitar was on sale for 29.99.This lead me to researching the ukulele, this is a great string instrument for anyone- of any age! It has 4 strings, sturdily made, and it holds a tune! Even after my daughter aggressively strums this thing over and over. I love it for myself, after 9 years of playing guitar I find this instrument so much fun, and much easier to play than the guitar.Pros:1. Very portable- so small you can throw it in your purse/bag to take it anywhere you want2. Well made- holds a tune like a champ and can take a mini-beating from a 2 year old!3. Easy to play- C chord with only one finger people? AWESOME!4. ADORABLE! I put on a couple of removable hello kitty stickers for my little girl and she is in love! I peel them off when I want to use it.Cons:1. NONE- it's $35 and it holds a tune compared to the junk you can find at crap-mart.2. My daughter and I fight over this, I need to buy a second one for myself!Overall: Get this ukulele for your 2-99 year-old! It is a fantastic instrument and great for any new 'musician' or us older musicians who have been playing for a long time but would like to have something new and easy to learn!
