It’s big, it blocks out sound and light. Good quality stitching, it’s fine.

I live near an interstate and wanted to block out some of the sound from it. I tried some basic sound dampening curtains, which didn't help. Thought I would try this next. This did do a little better than than the curtains, but barely. It's really pretty useless, and not worth the purchase, at all. I have no idea how anyone is claiming this is helping anything because it doesn't.

This one is for the Bird Owners. I have a Sun Conure and these birds are known to be very loud. Her squawk can make your ear drums Rattle. Sometimes she will be vocal for hours so I’ve taken some steps to manage the noise levels. Aside from adding a door stopper to limit noise going through the door, I’ve got wall panels that I’m not really sure works too well and this Blanket. Sealing the door edges helped and adding this blanket around the outside of her cage really helps absorbs her squawk. Even when I’m in the room with her, her noise won’t pierce my ear drums. I’m happy with it and I’ll probably get another one in the future to add around another cage of my vocal green cheek parrots to limit how far their noise travels through the house.

This works OK. It is heavy and hard to manipulate. It does absorb sound but not what I consider a "sound absorbing blanket". It is more like the blankets stage hands use to cover and protect all of the sound equipment when traveling to the next gig.

Exactly as advertised. The blanket is thick and heavy, does an amazing job at blacking out the room, and sounds dampening as well...It is heavy, so if using it as a curtain, use a heavier-duty curtain rod!

I expected this thing to be awful, as it was cheaper than I expected, but it’s perfect. The stitching is strong and it’s as heavy as curtains I’ve paid twice as much for.

We have a first floor laundry room right off our rental homes kitchen and it was closed off with a simple thin curtain. So quite a bit of noise came right through.Since we couldn't do anything more permanent (like doors) we opted to replace the thin curtain with two of these blankets. We ordered one to test it and once we could hear that it did help lessen the sound we ordered a second. These are much heavier than curtains so we used round metal circular clips (like you'd find in a 3-ring binder) to hang them on a heavy duty curtain rod. These round hooks were available in a dollar store and are much stronger than shower curtain style hooks. It's not a perfect solution since it only dampens the sound and does not eliminate it - but it was a noticeable improvement for us.Overall they achieved what we expected and we're happy with them.
