Your cart is empty.Hoof Guard seals nail holes and small cracks in the hoof wall. Hoof Guard keeps in natural moisture helping to prevent dry brittle hooves. Added UV protection guards against bleaching and surface cracks. The same fiber used in bullet proof vests strengthens the hoof and helps to prevent quarter cracks and under slung heels. Application: IMPORTANT - Shake Well to get full benefit of fiber. The hoof should be free of dirt and other contaminants. Apply sealant as needed with large brush avoiding coronary band. Easy one coat application. For brighter and shinier hoofs, wait approximately 1 minute then apply second coat. For external hoof use only. Harmful if swallowed. Keep away from children. Use in well ventilated area. Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid eye contact. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes for 20 minutes, wash skin with water and plain soap. DO NOT USE ACIDIC DEGREASERS. Danger: Flammable liquid and vapor. Keep away from heat.

This stuff should not be used on horse hooves at all. It smothers the hooves so they can’t breathe, doesn’t allow moisture to escape, is abrasive and eats away the hoof wall. Thanks to this junk, my 26yr old mare might be facing euthanasia if she can’t recover from the damage this has caused. She already had laminitis and foundered two years ago and was doing great until I started using this junk; now she is in extreme pain, rocking back on her hind legs, and started on 2 scoops of Bute twice a day. It’s a waiting game now, if she is going to heal it will likely take until May. Wish us luck.

I decided to pull shoes on my gelding back in November, and this hoof sealant was recommended to me by a close friend. It has helped maintain his hooves during all this rainy weather we've experienced, with no cracking or major chipping. He is able to grow and maintain healthy feet! 🙌

This does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I’ve been putting this on my horse’s hoof and it is helping it heal.
