It's super easy to install with a level and some masking tape to mark your anchor points. It's SO FUN to change out the text and surprise family/guests with the saying of the week/day/month. Easy to change out too

There's plenty to like about this, and plenty more to dislike. I set this up in my living room and every once in a while it will change to some funny message somebody has left. Although the pictures show several wooden bases, this only includes two. The bases are very short, and only having two puts a heavy limit on what you can write, even though there are plentiful letters to write more. While I haven't run into issues with needing more letters, I definitely have had several issues with not having enough space to write. As for the letters themselves, they are pretty unremarkable. Thin plastic cards with a decal--they get the job done. The bases are extremely lightweight, and do not hold the cards well at all; some cards will fall forward and other backward. If you are bothered by that, it's going to take a lot of time to get them all leaning the same direction. For the steep price point, this is far too cheaply made for me to really recommend it to anyone in good faith, but at the end of the day, it does exactly what it is supposed to.

My husband said that this was simple to install, and I think he installed it quickly. The dimensions are accurate, I have mine a foot apart (from bottom of base to bottom of base) and I think it looks nice. The letter plates were the only unpleasant part, as some of them were still really attached and peeling the protective films was a tiny bit tedious. Some of them also bow out for some reason, but I bet over time they’ll all go the same direction. I wish I had gotten another set when I got this one, to make longer phrases!

NOTE: The initial photo in the item description shows THREE ledges. This set only comes with TWO ledges. That is very misleading, so be aware of this.The wood ledge pieces are made very well and look stylish. The groove cut into the board holds the acrylic letter pieces very well.The letters are made of a flexible plexiglass - they are not very thick. I like the 5-inch height of the letters - they really stand out as a focal point in a room or hallway.There are enough of each letter to spell most words. The ledges are 34-inches long, so you can fit up to 11 acrylic letters on each ledge.The plastic letters have a protective film on them on one side, so you will need to remove this film for each letter. Expect to take a bit of time to remove this film from all the letters.The set does come with screws and wall anchors for installing the ledges. The back of each ledge has a cutout to fit over the screws. Once installed, the ledges are secure on the wall. NOTE: The bag of hardware is packaged at the end of the boards in the paper wrap - very easy to miss and accidentally throw away with the paper wrap.The letter ledge boards were shrink-wrapped along with the letters, so you'll need to be careful when undoing the shrink wrap so the letters don't get bent or scatter all over. The letters are not in any order, so once you peel all the film off, you'll need to arrange them - in alphabetic order, for example.When you look at the overall price of $95, that comes out to around 70-cents per letter - NOT including the hardwood boards. Therefore, I really do feel the price is a decent price for what you get.There are a couple of things I would change about this set:- Make the wood available in different color finishes. For example, I would have preferred this set to have a light, natural wood color versus the dark walnut color. It would make the set more versatile for different decor with more stain choices.- Add a drawstring storage bag or plastic case for the letters. As this set is, there is nothing provided to store the letters in when they aren't being used. A hard plastic case or even a drawstring bag would be helpful.Overall, this is a fun letter ledge for any home. I highly recommend it!

I wanted to love this. The wood is very pretty, and it matched my new tables in my living room BUT the letters are so big I couldn't spell out any of the quotes I wanted to display. There just wasn't enough room. I tried about 7 different ones and always ran out of room. This might be good to put in a child's room with a basic saying or something very short. I just couldn't find anything of meaning that would fit on the ledges. I have it set aside in hopes that I will run across something and it will fit.

This is cool! There are a few flaws, but not really dealbreakers. The picture shows 3 ledges but there are only 2, so keep that in mind. The wood color looks really close to the photos. I wish there were more letters, or a way to get more, and there are NOT enough special characters at all. No ampersand either, which I really wanted! Each letter is covered in a protective film that you have to peel off. They're nice and big and easy to read, and fit well into the slot on the ledge. They sink in just enough to look like they're sitting perfectly on the shelf, which looks really cool! It was packaged well too. I personally think it's a little overpriced for what you get, and I would love to find more letters, especially special characters or symbols. Overall it's really cool!
