Worked perfect for a 27 ton Dirty Hands log splitter. These are for a 4.5" bore and 1.75" rod. used the splitter for 8 hours and works great. The log splitter says 4.33 bore but it is 4.5" when disassembled and measured.

Small shop wanted $200 to take apart my log splitter BEFORE parts prices and he said he would only install OEM. Which they don’t make anymore. So I got this kit and took it apart myself using YouTube videos. Other than one busted knuckle, it worked out great. Was able to swap out all of the seals and it works like a charm with no leaks.

Fit perfectly in my Country line 25 ton wood splitter. Quality seemed pretty good to me. Will do an update on how well it holds up.

Speeco stopped selling seal kits for their hydraulic cylinders as far as I could see, I ordered these and they were a perfect fit for my 28 ton splitter. The blue wiper seal and blue inner seal went bad on my unit so I went ahead and replaced them all. There are a couple small seals i didn’t use but they were correct for my unit. Remember the black spring in blue inner seal faces towards pressure. Another word of advise, use the hydraulic pressure to remove rod from cylinder. You are gonna make a mess so get set up to catch the hydraulic fluid with pan and tarp and also put something in front of rod to catch it so it doesn’t Nick it up. There is a video or two of people doin this. I try a come along, I tried pulling it with a mini skid steer, I try everything to remove that cylinder because I did not want to make a mess. Trust me, just use the hydraulic pressure and it will pop right out.

I purchased this kit to rebuild the hydraulic cylinder on a 2014 Dirty Hand Tools log splitter with a 4.5 inch cylinder bore and 1.75 inch rod. Overall it's a decent seal kit and was fairly easy to install. It's made in China like so many things these days. However, as others have said, the kit was missing the rod gland o-ring which seals the rod gland in the cylinder bore. The rod gland backup ring was in the kit, just no o-ring to go along with it. This is a pretty big problem if you intend to rebuild the cylinder with zero leaks. Luckily I had an extra o-ring on hand from another cylinder kit. For this reason, along with the kit price, which I believe should be around $35.00 USD, are why I gave it 3 stars.Edit 4/14/2023 - I contacted the seller (not Amazon) by email this morning to let them know about the missing rod gland o-ring. They were VERY polite and quick to respond (within minutes) to the situation and offered to send me out a replacement that same day. Customer service of this caliber is very rare these days. Once I receive the replacement I'll update my rating accordingly.Edit 4/18/2023 - I received the replacement today and all parts are present. I'm upgrading my review to 4 stars because of the great customer service provided by the seller. Even though this is a good kit and fixed my cylinder, I can't rate this kit 5 stars for three reasons. First, the kit was made in China but the listing didn't state such. Second, there are 11 kit items in the listing picture but no packing list of what's supposed to be in the kit. It would be so simple to provide an item list in the kit. And lastly, compared to repair kits for other hydraulic cylinders I believe this kit should sell for $35 or $40 dollars.
