I use 3 different filters in my house. I just found out that it's past time to replace the biggest one. So it's been between Hydroviv and Zerowater to keep me. Doing great!👍

Weve tried a few different filters but always complained about a flavor there, this filter is great! Wife finally gave up her brita pitcher because this water is flavorless, the way water should be. Mind you we have a charcoal filter inline that didnt do it all. Sticking with this one for sure.

I have a double water filter system on a high-end cube ice maker and we change the filters every 3 months. This keeps the ice tasting good, but even more important, keeps the internal mechanism of the ice machine working properly and clean. Water filters are many times cheaper than replacing an ice machine due to poor filtering/maintenance.

This fits an Ecosoft countertop filter housing with no problems. Since my install, I have had no carbon deposits during the first flush nor while using for drinking and cooking. It has not slowed/clogged as yet and i say "yet" as this is my first time using this filter, i normally used the KX MATRIKX Pb1 10-Inch which clogged in about 2-3weeks of use but the KX MATRIKX Pb1 10-Inch is supposed to be used in a double stage filtration system where you would use a dedicated sediment filter with the KX MATRIKX Pb1 10-Inch for the other stuff.05/15/23 UPDATEIt has now clogged with a only a trickle of flow, it did last longer than other KX MATRIX filters though. I guess these are really meant for dual stage systems where sediment is filtered by a separate sediment filter. Well back to Tier1 0.5 micronI do have a problem with how it was shipped, Amazon packers put this filter, which was wrapped in the clear plastic wrapping from the manufacture, with a EVGA PSU in a larger than needed box to flop around. Luckily it came undamaged but i paid more because of the size of the box. Amazon packers, please do better, wrap things like this in some bubble wrap or put it in one of those large padded envelopes and then put t in a box. I do thank you for your service all the same though.If this holds up for six months i will buy again, if it dos not i will be sure to update this review.

I've used the Hydronix SMCB-2510 for past several years. The 0.5 micron rating is finest level of charcoal block filtering I've found so far. I use it in a simple countertop to faucet to filter and back to faucet setup so the greater restriction of the 0.5 micron is not a problem. The normal faucet flow is about 1 gpm and with filter inserted the flow is about half that. Well worth it to clean the water.A TDS meter shows that my regular well water comes in around 140-150ppm. With the filter in use the ppm drops to around 120. My water contains the usual red iron and lime/calcium typical for well water. I wasn't expecting the filter to make the water pure - just to reduce some of the solids and improve the taste. The filter is doing as I expected.I use a filter a year which is longer than probably should; but with running majority of water through the filter for cooking, drinking, etc. I haven't found significant problems with bacteria or other contaminant buildup on the filters when they have been removed.Overall I'm very pleased with the Hydronix SMCB-2510 filters and will continue using/buying these.

This is a "typical" filter size that is common for under-sink filters. I have an AO Smith under sink "chlorine filter" that really didn't work as advertised.The AO Smith replacement filter is labeled as "I" and is also shown as (AO-MF-B-R) on the box.This filter is a simple, exact-sized drop-in replacement for the filter that came with the under sink kit.The flavor is amazing and immediately noticeable.When you get the filter, you will need to let it run for a few minutes, so the filter can "stabilize" itself, for lack of better words. It is made from coconut and as should be expected, there is a milky-white, starchy-looking color to the water for the first few gallons.It took about 2 minutes or so to work through the white-colored water, and then it was perfectly clear.One of the single best things I've ever bought. Could not be happier.The water tastes amazing.

2 weeks of use review.So far so good....the filter is significantly reducing odors in our drinking water....Our water is already filtered by the city, but chlorinated twice in the process....this filter cartridge is working well to get rid off the taste of the city water for now...I cannot comment on the capacity of this filter..hoping for at least 3 months of use....it is not that cheap?!...;)

Great performance, the streets water main was replaced and it stirred up a lot of sediment resulting in cloudy and brown water in all the taps except the kitchen one where this was installed. Water there remained crystal clear

It takes a while for the carbon taste to dissipate once you start using this filter but its filtering out of smaller orginisims is well worth it.

So in the past i have used culligan and KX MatriKX Carbon Block Filters, but this one outperforms them all in terms of water quality and their is not much reduction in water flow rate.
