I really don't know why these get such good reviews. It's hard to handle. Like the cheese doesn't grate smoothly at all. The little flap on top that pushes the cheese down needs to be manually pressed down toward the end of the block of cheese but then your hand is in the way of the crank. It's just not an awesome design and it's not super cheap, especially considering It's mostly plastic.

This is much better than I could have imagined. I was looking at getting an electric one.. but folks save your money! Try this first!!!I highly reccommend!!!! and it is reversable for both left and right handed people.. so great.. They thought this thru. also comes with two diff. shaving graters for diff. size.

This is the BEST hand grater ! I owned this exact product (from Pampered Chef) but when the handle finally broke, I was determined to replace it.Pampered Chef no longer carries this specific item.I went searching & found it on Amazon, available through Ikea.I'm thrilled, as I use this almost every day. It is truly perfect for grating hard & soft cheeses. It's fast, easy to use and for me, an absolutely essential kitchen tool.

We switched to block cheese to avoid all the additives in packaged shredded cheese. This product is much easier and faster to use vs a grater. Also easy to clean. Love it!

This was a replacement for the identical one that I bought at Ikea, the handle of which broke after several years of use (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). It works well, is easy to take apart and clean, and I'm left-handed so appreciate that the handle can go on either side. Having a small one like this (as opposed to one that attaches to the counter for rapid shredding of large amounts) is convenient as far as bringing it to the table for those who might want to add extra cheese.

Verwende die Reibe, um sehr harten Parmesan zu reiben. Funktioniert gut, wenn ich die Kurbel nicht am Griff drehe sondern am Korpus, da ich sonst befürchte, daß die Kurbel abbricht. Bin zufrieden damit. Leicht zu reinigen.
