I bought this product for color coordinating my planner. I was very excited but honestly do NOT buy. The lead breaks every single time I use it. I’m not writing hard either, it breaks right in the beginning of forming the first letter. The pigment is so faint that you want to write harder to have more color on the paper but can’t due to it being so weak of lead. Waste of money.

I love that the cases match the color making it easy to find in my bag. It's a good refill kit to color cordinate a planner that what I used it for.

Lead is cheap and breaks VERY EASILY!Not worth the money at all.Fit fine in my mechanical pencils but not good for anything not matter how lightly I pressed.And of course with color you want to be able to see it and you need it to be dark but as soon as you put pressure of any amount it would just snap…EVEN WITH ONLY A SMALL SECTION STICKING OUT!!

They're okay, but way more brittle than I expected, so they're constantly breaking even when using the lightest possible pressure. Colored pencils are the better option in my opinion.

This lead isn't as soft as the original lead that came with my Paper Mate Mechanical Pencils.It is more brittle and breaks more easily, and the colors aren't as vibrant as the Paper Mate colored lead.I have figured out how to make it work, but am a little disappointed in the performance.

I originally purchased bic colored mechanical pencils just for doodling while bored. The pencils only come with 1 piece of colored lead each and I enjoy using them so I looked for replacements. These didnt seem bad, but then I recieved them. I started with red (the only one that didnt break) and it was difficult to write with. Then went onto the pink and the lead started breaking with any sort of pressure. Orange was the only tolerable color but still wasn't good. I had a feeling the green would react the same way the pink did and I was correct. Constant breaking and so light. Considering I would need to put pressure to make the color fully appear and with the lead breaking no matter what, I knew this wasnt a good product. The blue broke but left me with a kind nub of lead which I was actually able to use but if I need to waste lead to be able to use it then whats the point. The bic pencils did not come with a purple but I could only imagine it wouldnt live up to the original. Uploading a picture with the original vs these, along with all the breakage to show it is a lot for the little squares i was trying to make. I know I have a heavy hand but theres no possible way I would be able to use the original lead with no problem and have so many issues with these.TLDR; lead is insanely weak/light (pink and green being the worst) and becomes incredibly difficult to use. Already processed my return.

I am a pen/pencil fanatic, and I was happy to see that they had started making colored lead for in your mechanical pencils now. So naturally, I went ahead and bought these. Was I ever disappointed. I wanted to use some of these for around the house and work ( journaling, notes, recipes, notes for changes on details et cetera) I am glad I tried them out at home first before trying it out at work and being very frustrated.Pros:1) Colorful, many pieces per color, comes in their own color coordinating containers.2) They do erase.Cons:1) The consistency of the lead its self is just... odd. While I am trying to write on regular notebook paper, it's either too scratchy and mucks up my paper and gives very uneven color value/patchy writing. It's like some areas of the lead are very pigmented, and others are muted by a wax area, which makes it very sheer.2) They are SHEER, this isn't a full pigment lead.3) You have to use a lot of pressure to have any color payoff - then the lead snaps off. I went through a half stick of lead in one color (pink) then tried the blue and green and had roughly the same outcome so I just stopped using this and switched back over to regular graphite lead.4) I don't know if its too soft, or too brittle, but having to use that much pressure is crazy and hurts my hand, no thanks.I won't be returning this item, because it's just not worth my time to drive to drop it off. I also won't be purchasing again though either. Sorry about your not so great product.
