Can’t fit size 1/4 cello

I bought the same brand bag twice (one for 1/2 size cello in 2019 and another one for 3/4 size cello in 2021). The 1/2 bag was snug so the cello did not move in the bag. The 3/4 one is little too big, so the cello keeps moving inside. I am not sure if our cello is small or the bag is too big, but we did buy a common 3/4 cello.

Talked to my son now that he has been using the bag for a few months and he says it's great. Everything fits great. Its seems well made and if he is happy I'm happy.

I'm giving this case four starts because it pretty much states what it is. As far as protection and sturdiness you're better off buying a hard case for your cello. I bought this case because I didn't lung my cello out of the house or school or anything so it wasn't a huge issue to have a case only being used to keep dust from collecting. Plus there is even a pocket for the bow and an extra pocket to go with it. If you cello isn't limited to just your house, I wouldn't recommend using this as a case for school or if it's on the go a lot.

This case is exactly what I'd hoped it would be. It's size is perfect for my little 1/2 cello and I especially like the special bridge padding and the substantial, comfortable handle on the side as well as the backpack option. Overall excellent quality cello bag.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this bag for my 8 y/o son as this is his first year playing the cello. This bag truly exceeded my expectation. It has just the right pockets for his items. The padding and straps makes it easy for him to carry on his back comfortably and it does a good job protecting his instrument.

If you're not going to be carting your cello over great distances through harsh conditions, this bag should do the job. It's well constructed, fits well, seems sturdy, and has all the right pockets. It's also inexpensive. So, if you travel lightly with your cello and don't need a fancy hard case, this should do the job admirably.
