A fresh look

The drum arrived 2 days late which is pretty much par for the course with Amazon nowadays. Initially the drum did not work with the snare. I started to return the drum as it was not as advertised. The block holding it in place had broken loose, so with a little super glue I got it to hold securely. It now works as advertised so I'm keeping it. It does have a nice sound and looks good. Would I buy again from this seller? Probably not. QC doesn't appear to be at the top of their priorities

Love this instrument, really fun to play.I was able to jerry-rig the drum to my snare stand. The stand arms are cranked upward in to hold the drum. I then wrapped socks around the end of the snare arms, and intertwined rope which keeps it anchored to the bottom, and keeps it from shifting. All in all, the drum is a great addition to my drum collection, worth the purchase.

You can play this like a darbuka or hold it upright, between your knees. Some people even use a stand. It's very nicely made. It's a soft 'woody' sound. The 'snaggy stringer' inside, really makes this sound like a small cajon. My only complaint is that it's hard to keep it from slipping down, when playing it between my knees.I made a custom strap, which helps.

This drum is versatile. It has tons of nuance. I've been using it with a kick drum and hi hat in place of the snare drum (with my hands). It fits any standard snare drum stand. You should get one of these if you're considering it.

It’s slippery and cant hold and play, you must buy a stand with it.
