The animal bingo I received has a least two playing cards that are exactly the same, which I don't understand since there are, by my count, 17 different animals and only 6 cards in the box. I had also ordered the numbers bingo and I believe all of those cards are different. Other than the duplicate cards we all, especially my elderly mother, enjoy playing both bingo games.

My dad who had dementia adored this Animal Bingo game. We also got the Bingo with numbers and he took to them instantly. I thought it might be too hard for him, but he proved me wrong. He was able to do both sides with the animal pictures and written words, although it was a bit harder with the pictures because he didn't recognize all that animals. The labels under the pictures helped tremendously when he got confused. I was so impressed. He played this game until he couldn't anymore. It was so much fun for us. We would play it every time it rained. It is well designed and super fun. Any dementia patient that is still active will love it. It is fun for the whole family.

I ordered this game for my mom who was diagnosed with dementia two years ago. The game is easy to play and comes with vibrant colors that are easy to identify and distinguish from each other. The game came well-packed with all the small pieces in individual containers. The carboard material is firm enough to keep its shape through multiple plays. This game can be used for older adults recently diagnosed with dementia but can also be a learning game for the very young one. Highly recommend. Not really what I thought it will be.Suitable for Purpose: Yes.Met Expectations: YesOverall: five stars out of five stars.Methodology:Five Stars: Exceeded Expectations – Highly RecommendedFour Stars: Met Expectations – RecommendedThree Stars: YMMVTwo Stars: Did Not Meet ExpectationsOne Star: No Redeemable Qualities

I ordered this for an adult day care program that deals with dementia conditions. It's a nice boxed set and is simple to play. There are very large cards used for the caller to call out the name of an animal. They player then covers the slot for that animal on his or her bingo board with a provided chip. One side of the player board is animal pictures, and the other side are the printed names of the animals - so you can play the game with word OR picture identification. There is enough equipment for 6 players. When I consulted (belatedly) with the senior program, it was thought the game was a bit too simple for their clients. But I'm sending it along anyway because I suspect there are a few clients this might make very happy and I hope they will give it a try! If the decide against it, I will give it to a home care patient to play with family because I definitely know of dementia patients that could enjoy this game!

I use this for a Sunday school class of special needs kids and adults. It is so perfect in every way and has increased motivation and enjoyment for individuals that have difficulty with other games in the mainstream. All the products here are a win win for everyone and built much sturdier than other games.

Nicer quality than expected - laminated boards and sturdy marker pieces.. Two year old granddaughter loves to play using the animal picture side. When she gets older she can play using the written word side of the board.
