Just perfect! Repairing old clawfoot tub. Needed these flanges for the chrome nipples used to install shut offs. THIS IS NOT FOR COPPER PIPE. IPS is "iron pipe size" which is larger diameter than copper. So if you are using brass nipple or galvanized nipple any "ips" pipe, this is what you need. In my photo is brass chrome plated nipple. The copper line has female adapter soldered so I can screw the nipple into it. The flange hides this connection for seamless look.

Despite the description, this did not fit over our steel pipes. Ended up going to the Depot and finding one that actually fits.

The finish is great on this escutcheon but the hole is too large for 1/2" copper pipe.Had to bend the tabs around the hole to provide proper friction to hold on to the pipe and sit against the wall. If you look into the installed escutcheon you'll see a gap around the pipe.I didn't return it because I was desperate to finish the project and the small consolation (from the wife) that nobody is going to squat down on the toilet area and look directly into the escutcheon and pipe but then why did I pay so much for it?

Had to have an extender with a brass nipple on the plumbing that was sticking out and this apparatus worked perfectly to conceal it

Beautiful color watches other brass in my shower, I need to cover a fitting it was a lot to small to cover.
