Needed something that would help me keep a quarter mile driveway of crushed asphalt/sifting/gravel smooth. I don't have a tractor and the ATV is busted at the moment so I used the Kipling HD 3-point hitch to marry up a MotoAlliance CAT-0 Box Scraper to the old Jeep. The result was better than I had hoped for. Not only is the driveway in great shape now, but I am using the setup to move the rest of the crushed asphalt and to cut a drainage path in the back of the property.

Great idea for small applications. But warning, This will not convert your atv into a tractor. I was really disappointed with the hydraulic lift, it seems to only raise about 6 inches. I lost the lower pins after a couples days of vigorous use and the hardware was no good. Cheap metal that bends and strips easily. It was loose when connected to my hitch wasn't a really tight fit. You will have to definitely adjust the suspension if you are near 300lbs to a firm setting. I really was hoping that the down pressure would eliminate me from having to add bricks. The down force really is useless if the tool bar is not perfectly horizontal to the ground. It will take a little tweaking to get it right. I will consider buying a cheaper brand maybe a 1pt system for small projects this system is too expensive for its effectiveness. You can almost buy a used tractor for what a full set up costs. I really felt that i did not get my money's worth so I sent this back for a refund. The refund process can take up to 2 mths as it is considered "heavy bulk" item. Please be sure and keep your boxes because they will not accept returns with it being boxed.

It is the only 3 point hitch I found that would hook right to my pickup. Works great...BUT this is not heavy duty. I have a 4 foot box end scraper and the size difference of category 0 hitch to category 1 made it impossible to connect. I had to downgrade the scraper 3 point just to use it. Still, this is a great hitch for levelIng the driveway.

I sold a small JD loader that was undersized for gravel road repair. Sections of the road are steep and erode during extreme events. I needed something with 4WD and bought a Polaris Ranger with hope of installing a 3 pt hitch to use with a scraper blade. Amazons price was very competitive. The same Kolpin hitch system was much more on other web sites. Other manufactured systems were almost double. My first package was damaged and there were parts missing from the box. Amazon was great! Their customer service people had a new unit to me within two days. All the parts were intact. Only hassle was returning the original package. No harm/no foul. Assembly was easy. Took maybe an hour to put the unit together. Instructions and exploded views were easy to understand. They even give you the wrench needed for the shoulder bolts. The wiring was a little more time consuming for me. It takes me a little longer to assess and decide the best route for the switch and power to the actuator. There aren’t any videos that I could find of someone wiring a 3 pt hitch on a Polaris Ranger. The battery is in the front and to do this professionally I needed to fish the wire behind the firewall, under the floor and along the frame to the rear of the Ranger. Even with the UTV male hitch receiver (which is intentionally longer) I still needed a hitch extension to avoid conflict with raising the 3 pt hitch into the rear bumper. Using a 2” hitch extension in combination with the shorter male hitch receiver, I found that was the perfect distance where it was close enough to the rear of the machine (so the wires would reach the actuator) but far enough where the hitch didn’t hit the rear bumper. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was I don’t like the switch. It’s made to fit the handle bars on an ATV. I suppose I could get creative and find a way to mount it so it looks good, however, for now I just left the cord long enough to hold it in my hand. Otherwise it has nice lift height, down pressure and sturdiness to drag my 5’ Woods scraper blade. I took it for a short test on the road and I couldn’t be happier. Between the Polaris having more power and the Kolpin Hitch System being a well constructed product, road repair should be a breeze. I admit, I was concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, however, after installing and using this weekend, I’m glad I made the investment. This turned my UTV into a multi purpose machine.

No it did not the first time I used it one of the adjuster strip out that goes on the lifting arms. Got that fixed and was working with it some more at a later date got hung up on a rock I lift the chisel plow up and went to back up and it broke the adjuster and bent the shaft on the linear actuators now I can't use any of the three point hitch or the tools. I now have to call kolpin dirtworks to see if they're going to make this all good or if I'm going half to buy all this my self so I can get this fixed. I would like to get my food plots done because deer season is almost here. If they don't take care of this I'll never buy anything else from them and will let every one know just how there product really is. Johnnie Ellis TN.

This is nice product. Well made, heavy duty, not made of cheap materials. It is unfortunate that the hardware is metric except for the 5/8 category " 0 " lifting pins. Welded construction, heavy duty bolts and link arms and pins.Assembly is easy enough, but they can be a little unclear because of the descriptions of the hardware. Packaging of this system needs serious help ! My product arrived with tares and a hole in main box. The contents were moving around, taring up the inner boxes which made some hardware move around also. Some of the frame parts did have some dings on them, but nothing that i couldn't live with.
