I really thought this pin pointer would be on par with Garretts Pro pointer II. It is NOT. I've had some cheap pin pointers that gave as good a signal farther from the target than this one. Really disappointed. Had to return it. This was the Detector Pro version of the Land or Sea pin pointer. There is a Gold Digger version of the same Land or Sea pin pointer. I have no intention of buying or reviewing that one.

It is a very good tool for using when metal detecting but is really not sensitive enough on objects found in the ground below 2 inches , I have 9 titanium screws in my leg and it will not detect them . I had another brand pinpointer before this one and it would detect those screws !

If you are doubtful because you have never heard of this brand, all I can say is, this is a great pinpointer. It goes as deep as my Garrett Carrots do, and is PI so it can be used on the beach if need be, and is waterproof.Glad I took a chance on this.

I haven't had a chance to use it in the water yet but I'm impressed with it's performance on dry ground. I like the light that signals a targets proximity.
