Needed a burner for boot disks and photo sharing. My old drive refused to work. This one was shipped fast, installed without a problem, and worked like a champ. Was even very quiet for a cd rom burner. The included software refused to install but I have better software of my own. Great purchase. Very happy.

This review is for the Lite-On Super AllWrite IHAS124-04-KIT 24X DVD+/-RW drive. This drive replaced a 20+ year-old DVD drive in my old Linux PC! Installation was straight forward and no problems were encountered. This drive was part of a refurb of a 20+ year-old PC. I haven't had a chance to test the burner, but a clean install of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS from this drive was flawless.
