I purchased this because I was intrigued, I got the random thought to buy one because I know Lyre's can make some beautiful sounds, this one is no exception. The sound is great! It is relatively simple in design, however the engraving is quite a nice touch. The bag it comes in is... well they had to save a dollar somewhere haha, that being said it is functional, but don't expect any protection. This particular harp is an amazing little instrument, I do have some musical background, but I have never played a harp of any kind before, and I was playing this for hours the same day it arrived. There is one important thing to note, ALL Lyre's are VERY particular about tuning, make sure the strings are evenly spaced on the bar or it could cause detuning issues, mine were perfectly spaced from the get-go. You'll need to tune it over and over again, tuning one side will likely detune the other, so be patient, and do a few runs, you'll also need to tune it often until the strings settle in. Lastly... don't lose that tuning rod, keep it near the Lyre at all times, it's part of the instrument. Overall, This is a fantastic little Lyre, it's already given me many hours of enjoyment and I cannot wait to play more. OH! and bonus points for the extra set of strings, never hurts to have extras. This lyre is really beautiful. That being said I was disappointed in the tone and returned for another brand.

It's definitely more of a novelty then an instrument but it does work as an instrument, kinda something fun to play with, mine arrived with some damage around the tuning peg so I knocked a star off, as for the instrument it's self I would say your getting what you pay for on this don't expect to have super high quality

Im so happy with this. It's fun to play right out of the box.Easy to tune. If you don't know how to use it,there are lots of youtube videos to watch. I had to tune it a few times before it held it's tune and now it's good. Just stick with it.
