These are great if you have the mascara fans on your rv. No drilling needed for mine as mine had the tabs for a 1 minute install. They seem to be a good quality and pretty thick. Best of all you can have the vents open in the rain

2nd time I have bought this product. No problems, easy to mount, looks good, and allows me to open the vent in all weather. Make sure to test the clearance of the vent before securing.

Fit great on fan and super easy to install with the speed clips if you have a vent with the tabs already. Also includes brackets to install on a vent or fan if it’s a different brand or older and does not have the clips. Vent almost opens all the way, good enough. So nice being able to have it open while it’s raining. There is no screen in it but I believe you can buy it make your own. Looking forward to getting more for my other vents.

When you travel as much as we do with our 5th wheel, there are certain things that we have come to expect. One of them is adequate venting within the trailer. We have a really nice vent in the kitchen area that closes during inclement weather, the other 2 do not. Having this vent cover is much more than just an aerodynamic cover. It allows the vent to stay open so that we can continue to get fresh air, without it shutting down. The cover allows the fresh air to enter through the vent, no matter what the weather. This is important to us.I love this first one that we purchased, we are definitely going to be purchasing 2 additional ergonomic covers. The performance that we expect, and receive, will be top-rate.The covers aren't inexpensive, but they are worth it for the dependability, ease of use, ease of installation, and the appearance. Very nice looking. This is one vent cover that I invested in, and will twice again.

These are great, 2nd trailer I've installed them on. These newer versions are nicer to install and remove for servicing in the future as well, and look nicer also. Must have for any trailer roof vent.

I got this vent cover to go on my newly-installed RVLovent 14" powered vent. It covers the vent well and seems to offer plenty of airflow. However, there are conflicting statements by the seller around the intent of the cover. In one statement, they say it's for un-powered or low-powered vents. In another bullet, it says the cover is for high-powered vents. I would consider mine more on the side of high-powered and it seems to work fine.I chose white, thinking that I would get an opaque white, but what showed up was a translucent white. As it turns out, I now prefer this because it lets in more light into the room below, which is the bathroom.Another issue, shared with all vent covers, is that it it doesn't allow for a full-open of the vent lid. After exhaustive checking, this is about the highest opening you can get in a vent cover - around 10" from the roof deck, and my fan would like to open to about 14.25". Fortunately, all the power vent fans seem to determine full-open and full-closed by sensing resistance in the opening vent motor. There are no hard limit switches on the power vents, so the resistance thing is a reasonable (and the only) approach. The open motor labors briefly then stops - in either direction. The mounting brackets went on easily. Because of the design of the RVLovent unit, I could only use "blind" screws into the sidewall of the vent. In other words, the pass-through bolt with nut and washer that comes with this cover does not work with the RVLovent. Instead, I used 2 #8 x 1/2" stainless steel sheet metal screws on each bracket after drilling a small pilot hole. They tightened down very well and it all works.I love the "quick-release" hairpin cotter pins that go in both sides of this vent cover. You can slide 2 of the pins out on the same side and pivot open the cover for cleaning. Or you can take out all 4 pins and just pull the whole thing right off. It takes about 4 seconds per pin. :)Finally, and I confirmed this with the manufacturer directly, there is NO manufacturer-supplied insect screen like there are for other models. If you feel you need a bug screen, you'll have to make it yourself.

Installed these on an older travel trailer. Installation was easy (drill a few holes in the lip of the existing vent, install clips... done). I had them open in a very large rainstorm and zero water came in.

These brackets had to be used instead of older/wider brackets so instead of a quick 5 min changeout with no tools required, it turned into an hour and going to round up screwdrivers and wrenches. Just so you know

I had a maxxair on the vent to start with, but it got torn off in a hailstorm and when it did break off it hit the skylight over the bathroom and broke it too.Installation was easy enough but getting one of the mounting bolts in on our trailer was tough because of the location of a crossmember inside the vent. Had to use a self tapping screw, but the metal is pretty thin and I'm not sure that will hold.
