Nice set. Sharp bits. These are metric sizes, wrote on each case the closest SAE size. Recommended product.

These drills are accurate, go through tough materials, and came in more sizes than I needed. For less than their competitors.

If you are looking for extreem value, these are it. I do a lot of woodworking, and sometimes an SAE sized hole is just nooooootttttt quite right. These metric sizes fill the bill. They cut really CLEAN and fast. I sized each one (the old QA inspector in me) with my calipers, and they are PRECISE.!

First it is no way ready to use product. If you have time, skills and diamond files to sharpen these bits then they can be but into working order. Second bit's shanks are turned from really mild steel and be scratches, dented really easy. Third carbide is not high quality. It makes sharpening easier but bits will not last very long. So if you need metric bits for occasional use and capable to make them work then the set is acceptable for money. Otherwise be ready spend ten times more money

I needed 7 of the sizes supplied for my project. If I had been using softwood the would have been perfect but in hardwood the larger diameters did not finish smoothly. Overall an ok product for theoney.

Is that the new buzzword?Anyways, on to the tools!I am a hobbyist woodworker and had always heard of Forstner bits, but had never used one. Well, recently I acquired a ShopSmith Model 10E mostly because of the wood lathe capabilities. Watching YouTube videos about using the lathe I repeatedly hear the presenter saying he used a Forstner bit for this and that so I decided I need some of those! I go directly to Amazon for all my shopping needs, if for no other reason than to read the reviews before I dump cash into something I know little to nothing about.Well into the wormhole I went and found these bits. They had the most positive reviews among the Chinese made tools, which is what my budget allows. Sure, I'd like some Austrian made bits, but come on, I'm not made of money.Okay, Pros;Pricea bunch of sizes. If they aren't 100% accurate the next size should be close since 1 mm is smolI tried several in some pine, all I had on hand, Smooth round holes with flat bottomsThey didn't come in a box to get broken/spilled damaging the bits, good packaging.Cons;A couple had a little run-out, making the hole larger than it should be, just go down a size. The shafts are not of a uniform size. My 1/4" 10" long extension almost fits the smaller ones, not close on the larger ones. They are metric. Not a deal-breaker for me, I know that 16mm=5/8, 19mm=3/4, 21 is 7/8 25mm=1 inch and I'm just punching holes, not building a yacht. Can't attest to the durability as all I have tried them on is soft pine for testing.Round shafts might spin in the chuck in high load situations.Overall I am satisfied and would recommend them.Dan

I had to recess HeadLOK flat head screws in pieces of bubinga and rock maple. I wasn't sure what exact head size the HeadLOK lags were and when I measured them, it looked like 16mm to me but I figured that the cost of this entire set was about twice the cost of one metric forstner bit.The bits arrived and on close inspection, the fit and finish is good, the bits run true without any wobble in both a battery hand drill and a powered drill press. The cuts are precise, flat bottom with clean sides. The one "oddity" that struck me was how these bits are packaged - basically in plastic router bit cases. They are NOT in a wooden case like my Amana SAE forstner bits or even a blow mold case like many of the current forstner bit sets on Amazon. The individual cases are labeled for bit size on the sides of the cases. It's not an elegant packaging solution. But for my needs for the odd metric forstner bit holes I need, these fill the bill.I don't know about longevity and it's easy to get these bits to quickly smoke with the wrong feed speed into hardwoods so start slow.See the attached photos for how these bits are shipped. Hope this helps.
