Like many people, I got this with the idea that it can help you determine the circuit an outlet is on without some of the gymnastics. I currently live alone, so I've tried plugging in a vacuum cleaner or radio to an outlet, then switching off every breaker until the sound stops, so I can find the circuit to which it's connected. It's a pain, plus you inadvertently turn off everything controlled by each breaker you flip. This does a nice job of identifying the proper circuit/breaker without the hassle. It does get some bleed-over from adjacent circuit breakers, so you need to be a bit patient when moving the detector over the panel, but eventually, it will find the proper point. I'm the 2nd owner of my home, and as a result, the previous owners had labeled the circuit box. Some are legible, but a few looked like they were written in light pencil using Sanskrit. This device has allowed me to go over all the outlets and circuits, putting the correct description on each. It also is valuable for testing circuits, as I've already found one in my house that was not wired properly. All in all, I'm very pleased with this unit.

I really ike this - ive been able to identify most circuits but it does seem to give false positives sometimes. It does make it much easier even if it takes more than one try...

This is a good entry level circuit finder/tester. It works reasonable well and is easy to get started. This is perfect for a home owner who wants to have a cheap pack to test when needed, but would not recommend for professional use as there are better options out there at another price point.It comes with a nice storage bag and did not notice any big discrepancies on values and accuracy.

On the bench today, I’ve got a MESTEK Circuit Breaker Finder, Electrical Circuit Tracer Tool Kit with Integrated GFCI Outlet Tester, Works on AC 90-120V, Circuit Tester with Buzzer Alarm & Color LCD Display, Includes Carrying Case.To start off, this is the first circuit breaker finder of this type that I’ve had experience with so I cannot compare how it might compare to others. Also, throw away the cheap little screwdriver that comes with the kit and use a decent p1 driver instead. The small included driver is too easy to slip and strip in the battery screws.The outlet tester worked fine to measure voltage(tho it was about a volt low compared to a DMM) and trigger GFCI to trip. It also didn’t report any false errors.The circuit breaker tracing function worked well enough but it wasn’t perfect. I did 3 different passes where I did a learning pass before each time over my breakers which went as follows. It did find the correct breaker every time. First pass where I went very quickly on the learn pass: it full triggered on two separate breakers that weren’t near each other where one was the right breaker. Second and third passes where I went much slower on the learning pass, it only triggered on the correct breaker but it did require me to be in somewhat specific area of the breaker for it to trigger.Storing the outlet tester in the bottom of the receiver was unnecessarily difficult due to the ground hole being far too small. I’m not sure if it shows in the picture but I can clearly see the stress of the plastic around the ground hole. It requires a very significant amount of force insert and to pull it back out, to the point that I thought it might break the outlet tester ground plug on the way out. It did get easier after each in/out cycle but I would suggest to bore out the ground hole ever so slightly with a drill bit yourself or just not try to keep it stored in the bottom and instead just use the carry case it came with.Overall, I think this decent kit that, as long as it doesn’t suffer an early death, is worth its price since it comes with a digital display on the outlet tester/transmitter and a good carrying case.

My fusebox was labeled incorrectly. This product makes it really easy to find what breaker works with what outlet. It works as advertised and was a really good value compared to more expensive prices.
