- How to use it?
- 1. First choose the right size tubes, as it is 3:1 heat shrink ratio, and will shrink up to 1/3 of original diameter.
- 2. Wrap the cable wire with the tube, then use a lighter heating if the tube is small or hair dryer, heat guns heating for large one until the wire was wrapped tightly.
- 3. Don't touch the tube until it becomes cool.

Good Quality. I use a lot of heat shrink tubing but needed some with glue inside to keep water out. I tried my luck with this and was totally impressed. Its the good rubbery heat shrink and not the cheap plastic type. I used a mini torch to shrink it down and it shrinks down to half its size. The glue oozed out the ends! great stuff will buy again.

The high shrink ratio and the good adhesive lining that waterproofs every connection make this a good deal in a permanent heat shrink coating. The adhesive and thick shrink wrap also result in a much more durable and strain relieved splice or termination.I love that there are red and black pieces because I do a fair amount of DC work and it's nice to color code the wiring. It's a nice touch for the shrink color to match the wire color, but often, the wiring will be black zip cord and the shrink wrap color at the ends will be the only indication of polarity.

super recomendable muy pero muy sencillo ce utilizar lo mejor es cuando se seca el pegamento es muy difícil de mover y cuando se enfría el plástico protector se pone muy duro, yo lo utilice para reforzar unos cables para mi cargador de iphone

Me gustaría que incluyera mas repuestos para cables grandes como los cargadores de celular o cables de audífonos. Esos repuestos delgaditos no se para que sirven y creo que nunca los usaré.

Read my title...pretty much says it all. Local auto store wanted $7 for 3 tiny pieces of black heat shrink tubing. This is a great deal on an organized kit of dual color, pre-cut to convenient sizes, various dimensions, heat shrink tubing.I ordered this product as I walked out of the auto store and it arrived by the next afternoon. I have used it on two separate projects and am pleased with the heat retraction on the tubing. I also prefer having both red and black tubing for terminal/positive identification.Once I am done using all this heat shrink tubing in like 10 years I can use the empty container for a bait box or a loose screws box. See...I am repurposing. Cool beans.

Nice kit! These are the sizes I use most.These are glue-lined, so it takes more time under reasonable heat to get them to shrink, melt, and seal.I expect this would be really hard to do with a BIC Lighter -- use a proper air gun.Done correctly, they tighten up and flow the glue correctly, with just a little bead of glue showing on each side of the tube. Perfect! Watertight, not going to slip, and won't peel off easily.For larger wire projects, I sometimes slip the large tube over a small one to really make a strong 'graduated' strain-relief.The glue also allows you to 'cap off' some wire connections by putting an open-ended tube over it, melting it down, and then plier-pinching the endGreat kit, affordably priced.

the glue on the inside makes the tube smaller then it appears, would be nice to have some larger sizes included.

Excellent heat shrink. The 3 to 1 shrink ratio and the internal heat activated adhesive makes for a very sturdy bond and connection. Very sturdy. I have even used it to repair a pair of eyeglasses! I lost the set screw to one side and the heat shrink tube is holding the whole pair of eye glasses together and making them totally functional. That is some tough heat shrink! The high shrink ratio requires far less of different sizes of tubing to cover many more sizes of repair. You can use a much bigger size tubing to cover many more sizes of wire or other repairs. Requiring one to have far less amount of heat shrink sizes on hand than the 2 to 1 variety. The adhesive activates and flows very quickly keeping the tube in place when applying heat from a heat gun. Very handy. The heat activated adhesive and the much thicker walled tubing is what makes the finished repair much sturdier. It does what it says, and is actually much tougher than one would imagine. I will be using this heat shrink exclusively from now on! Thank you!
