There must be some sort of chemical on these. Size is nice for the Mesa and Mesa XL but it is a smelly wood when it burns.

I got these little logs for my mini wood stove. They work well. The starters were at the bottom of the box but the wood lit easily when I used a balled up paper towel to start the flame. I will be ordering more soon.

Great for a little personal fire but has to be fed every 5 minutes so the box doesn’t last long in a solo stove mesa xl

We used this for our screened in porch tabletop fire pit. Once the fire gets going, it blew stringy black ashes EVERYWHERE. Not a good idea to wear white around it or any clothes you don’t want full of ash. It took several days of vacuuming the ashes to get them all up. And once you’ve touched the ash, it’s in the fabric. Only way to get them is if they haven’t been touched and you take the stick of the vacuum and get them. Serious pain in the butt. I think they were at the top of the ceiling fan and continued to blow off for days. I do not recommend this wood for inside areas or screened in porch. I don’t think I’d even use it outside bc of the mess it leaves.
