This compact Mini PC with a system-on-chip design delivers strong performance for its size. The AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, though a few years old, handles daily tasks efficiently with low power consumption, drawing about the same power as a BCM2711 while outperforming it significantly. The BIOS is a standout, fully unlocked for advanced users, allowing extensive tuning and customization, making it ideal for prosumers. The case feels a bit cheap but is fairly sturdy, lightweight, decently ventilated and comes with a bracket for wall or VESA mounting. Its magnetically attached lid is convenient for upgrades but may be a drawback depending on deployment. Thermals are excellent; even under heavy all-core stress tests, the CPU stayed below 80°C (well under its 105°C max) without excessive fan noise.Connectivity is solid, with dual Ethernet ports (RTL8125B 2.5Gbps and RTL8111H 1Gbps) and a user-upgradable RTL8852BE Wi-Fi 6 card. Wake-on-LAN worked flawlessly on both NICs. The 512GB Kingston OM8SEP4 NVMe SSD is DRAM-less and runs warm, but it’s responsive for everyday use and includes a basic heatsink, a nice touch. The biggest downside is the single stick of DDR4 RAM (PC4-25600 CL22), which limits performance in this dual-channel system where RAM doubles as VRAM. Out of the box, it scored 14,488 on PassMark CPU Mark, with a physics score of 561 frames/s and a memory mark of 2,475 (22,611 MB/s threaded). Adding a budget dual-channel RAM kit boosted scores to 15,511 CPU Mark (7.06% higher), 767 frames/s physics (36.72% higher), and 2,609 memory mark (5.41% higher), with threaded memory performance nearly doubling to 44,515 MB/s (96.8% uplift). This upgrade is critical for multitasking or multimedia workloads and should be factored into the cost.I added an SSD heatsink, but the stock one was sufficient. This Mini PC shines as an office machine, multimedia set-top, or Linux box (Debian Trixie, Arch Linux and Batocera ran perfectly). It came with Windows 11 pre-installed, suspends to / resumes from RAM flawlessly on Linux, and idles at ~1.1W, just 0.1W above its powered-off state.Overall, this is a capable, efficient system with a power-user-friendly BIOS. The single-channel RAM holds it back, but with a RAM upgrade, it’s a good value for the price.

this is a snappy little computer. I turned it into a retro gaming console and it runs Batocera and some later games without any issue. I also plan on running a media server with one as my next project but they are all sold out currently! I bought the last one!

This is a superb little box! I added more RAM and an SSD to make it into a great, space-saving home lab, running Proxmox. It has plenty of network connectivity and is totally quiet. A really good buy!

I freaking love this little PC, I was skeptical about it at first but once you really get it all setup it's honestly a great computer. Gaming on it is smooth, love that I have access to the motherboard so you can kinda tinker around with it, if you're into building PCs.The price is great, it's quiet, hasn't overheated on me or worked slowly that I had to chuck it out the window. Quick to setup I love the packaging and this little PC has some power to it.Dude buy it and just have fun.

I purchased this unit as the specs were exactly what I needed. Setup took a little longer to complete, as it was taking a great deal of time to update. No big deal really, as I thought perhaps it just needs a lot of updates. Well once it had been completed I quickly found that it was losing the WiFi connection repeatedly, as in 4 to 5 times a minute. If it did stay connected, the speeds bounced between 1 MB and 18 MB. On some occasions, it would lose connection and then prompt me for my network password again after giving me a generic message it needed the password as the network had changed. So I reset the PC using its own image, figuring something related to the Windows Network code was corrupt or the driver for the WiFi was corrupt. That only created another problem. After the Windows OS started up, I was never prompted to join a WiFi network, and I was prompted to create a local user account. I restarted the machine and well still no WiFi wizard, and again only allowed to create a local account.I should have given up at this point but I tried one more time to reload Windows using a flash drive. Again in the hope the problem is really with the provided Windows image. Same result as above, no network wizard during startup, thus forced to create a local account. My only conclusion is the machine simple has a problem internally with the WiFi, or the motherboard. During all my troubleshooting, the Mini PC was right next to my Dell laptop which has never experienced any network connection issues. On a personal note, this is the second Mini PC I have purchased. It seems these are very "hit or miss" when it comes to getting one that works, this is based on my own experience and now having thoroughly read the reviews for several different units to see if I can find a good brand to purchase. Unless you have some pretty good computer technical skills I recommend you avoid purchasing any mini PC.
