I tested the accuracy at various flow rates measuring into 5 gallon and 1 gallon jugs and was very accurate.

I've added this item to the list of freshwater fill supplies kept in our travel trailer. The last time out, we had some water (apparently prematurely) run out of our "overflow tube", which we interpreted as having our fresh water tank full. It turned out to be just barely 2/3 filled. We didn't run out, but also didn't have much to "run off" after just a 2 day stay. At home, I took the opportunity to sanitize the freshwater tank with a cup of bleach, and measure the fill capacity of the tank with this meter. The tank didn't overflow until just about exactly 37.2 gallons, which (37 gal.) is the spec on our tank. This gave me peace of mind that there are not any leaks, and that the 1/3, 2/3, and "full" sensors are accurate. By using it each time we fill, we can differentiate between an actual full tank, and a "false overfill".

This does work under normal water pressure and flow, but does not work with normal water pressure with low flow such as drip irrigation. The description states water flow range: 0.13~12GPM (0.5~45.5L/Min), and I totally missed that. One would need a drip irrigation output minimum of 8 to 10 gallons per hour for this to work. Just sharing this for others in case they miss it.

It tells you the flow rate per minute as well as how many gallons you have put in. You must check to see what info is being displayed or you will be confused as I was at first. Would buy again.
