Visited some of the "Largest Auto Parts Stores" they sold the wrong part for the PCV Valve grommet, it was for the Breather grommet, don’t waste your time at the Auto Parts Stores, just get this OEM Mopar grommet, worked like a charm on my 1994 DODGE RAM 1500 PICKUP - 5.2L (8-318). Genuine Mopar PCV Grommet 53030017.

This grommet will fit perfectly in the valve cover of a Dodge ram GAS---5.2 and 5.9 engines, holds the PCV valve tight, sometimes hard to get the old one out if its been in there for years. If you use a long flat blade screwdriver get it under the lip of the old grommet and hit it towards the firewall or rear of the vehicle, it will eventually pop out, the new one just pops in there.

Found a vacuum leak in the system and some oil accumulation around the valve cover grommets, so after deciding to rebuild most of the system I ordered an aftermarket PCV valve grommet. There is a glitch in the matrix because I got the larger grommet for the oil breather cap on the other side of the engine even though I clearly order the correct part.. Luckily I needed one of those too so I kept it (Dorman 42344) and got this part number matching OE correct Mopar part, along with a Moipar PCV valve and tube. The OE parts are so much better quality I think I will stick with them in the future; got the old one out in chunks with the aid of a heat gun and needle-nose pliers.

Item arrived on time and as expected. Was sorely needed to replace the old grommet that cracked when I replace valve cover gaskets.
