Simple and functional, this authentic, handcrafted Moroccan cooking Tagine is ready to be used for your next flavorful and exotic Moroccan meal. The Tagine is to be use on the top of electrical or glass stove or inside the stove. If you have a gas stove with flames please use a protective metal piece to protect your Tagine from cracking. HOW TO CURE A TAGINE? It is necessary that it is seasoned before initial use. Please follow these simple instructions below for maximum results: 1. WATER: The new tagine needs to be first submerged in water for at least 1 hour. If you can’t submerge it, place it in a clean sink bowl and slowly fill the base of the tagine with water until it stops absorbing it. Place the tagine lid on top and fill it as well. Let stand for 30 minutes to allow full absorption of water into the clay. Empty excess water and set to dry for 5 minutes. 2. OLIVE OIL: All you need is 3 table spoons of olive oil, 2 for the base and one for the lid. Spread the olive oil throughout the base and lid with your hand. 3: HEAT: While the tagine is still wet with the oil applied to it, place it in the oven as shown in the first or second photos, and set temperature at 350 F and leave for 45 minutes. The evaporation of moisture creates a vacuum effect to pull the olive oil into the clay which glazes and seals it. Then leave the tagine cool down in the turned off oven.

I love it but for some reason I thought it was unglazed, it wasn't.

This was a great addition to my cookware! I have a smaller one and this one is big enough to feed my whole family! just wish it was about 25% bigger

I bought this clay pot because #1 I love to cook and I love to slow cook! The pot is perfect. It is not glazed, which is what I was looking for, it cooks the food beautifully, and it's super easy to clean! Au Natural is the way. No chemicals, no glazes, just a beautiful, natural pot so that you can cook traditional meals that come out tasting delish! Highly recommend!

Came in a well packaged box, delivered on time too.It is a medium to small size tajine and can be used to feed two people depending on the cooked meal.Instead of bringing it from Morocco on our trip, this was a much simpler option. Definitely recommend it!

Every thing in one pot. Meat fell off the bone. . Love it.

I would have given this 4 stars, but there is a lip on the bottom piece that sits very low. It’s there for the top piece to rest on. It is so low that you can barely fit enough food for 3 people in this tagine. There is just not enough surface area. This is a 2person tagine. Don’t think you are going to be showing it off to your friends unless you cook some big sides. But, I feel that defeats the purpose of having something that cooks a full meal.

Its quite nice and im now cooking my second meal in it.It was packaged well and arrived on time. For the price its quite a decent buy and it is after all an authentic Moroccan Tagine.I suspect that people that have problems with a lot of the authentic tagines are cooking on a higher setting than they should. Even on a low heat setting with a diffuser these will heat up to a good cooking temp and you need patience and shouldn't rush things. This is slow cooking. I do use a meat thermometer just to make sure.

I really love my Tagine.... need to experiment with more recipes -- I see a recipe book in my future.
