Works great on deep aluminum rims.

I hate cleaning my rims - this makes it so much easier. The thing does heat up a bit more than I would think it should, but it hasn't messed with the product, drill, or the rims.

We love to use these when polishing up our fleet.Only complaint is they don't last as long as you would think they would.

Saved a few bucks by ordering from Amazon Warehouse deals. Like new condition, packaging damaged. Got it, yeah, somebody DESTROYED it when using it and sent it back (was black from use which is normal use, shaft was snapped off, was all ripped up). Was not "Like New" or even usable. Usually have good luck with warehouse deals, but not on this one.I have used the Mothers PowerBalls before and they do work really good. They make polishing wheels so much faster and easier (I have 8 18" polished wheels to do at a time) and they work great.

What can I say? These are messy. If you’re not careful you will rip them up. They will wear you out. all that being said, MY CHROME RIMS WERE NOT THIS SHINY EVEN WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK NEW! Wow oh wow was it impressive what some good quality metal polish and this polisher ball can do with some time and elbow grease. As much work and as messy as it was, it was easier than trying to get those results by hand!

I recommend this after using it on my 60s car's chrome and aluminum. Beats the heck out of hand polishing. Just be realistic, it wears out pretty fast. So, get two.. this way you can finish the job . Yep it costs money but it has great results and makes the polishing go quickly.

You will get out what you put in.Use a good polish suitable for aluminium alloys or whatever it is you are polishing.Clean the sponge frequently to avoid putting black marks back onto your alloys.A sensible approach to adding polish, working it onto the item to be polished, wiping away excess polish with clean lint free cloths, and then washing the sponge will produce excellent results.Hopefully my before and after results of alloy wheels that are literally 50 years old will be as good an advert as can be seen anywhere.Awesome product.Keep drill speed low as advised in the instructions to prevent the sponge breaking up and losing pieces.

The buffer is awesome, but the small hex drill attachment on the shaft broke off after a few minutes of use. I cut the plastic tube and just re-attached the drill right to the shaft, after that it worked fine. The buffer is a great aide and polishes like nobodies business and quickly. I used it on large 22.5" Alcoa aluminum motorhome wheels. They were badly oxidized after 24 years of neglect. They look like chrome wheels now!! The buffer itself is foam rubber and doesn't lend itself to cleaning. I tried to wash it in strong detergent but it's still covered in black sludge. I reuse it many times in the soiled state and it still works ok.
