I purchased this to restore trim on a 25 year old vehicle. The attached images show the trim around the mirrors. This was just after one application of the product. I will note that the amount of product used to obtain these results was very minimal, I pretty much have close to a full bottle after what I already used. One piece of trim on the vehicle is going to require more than one application. Again, this is a 25 year old vehicle.I would recommend this product.

Did a great job... until it didn't. Applied it to my weathered black trim on my bumpers. Looked nice and dark black. Then it rained and right back to looking like it did before the application. Followed the directions, did everything as directed. It doesn't restore, just temporarily hides the sun fading until it gets wet. Waste of money.

Take pride in my vehicles. Truck is now 6 years old, paint looks like the day I bought it. Only thing I was having issues with was wax getting on plastic trim. If smooth was easy to remove if taken off the same day, but some areas are textured plastic. Tried Magic Eraser which worked somewhat, a normal block eraser, toothbrush... but was getting worst yearly with more buildup. Took very little time and minimal effort with this product and supplied brush (pretty much a stiff bristled toothbrush), and presto years of accumulation was gone. Great product as advertised.

Well, I am a very enthusiastic about all car detailing products, and I try to see every positive aspect or use of it.1. Yet, if your black trim it is very dirty with previous products, dirty, with fade color due to the UV solar rays, and looking bad, then there is a series of product you don’t need to buy: Mother’s back to black heavy duty, Chemicals Guys trim cleaner, Mothers back to black (regular), and most of the others in the market that promise good results. In fact they are just for light stained, dirty, and faded trims.2. Must buy for heavy duty work: Goo Gone (the best), alongside with a dish scrub with medium hard scrub surface, a microfiber towel, rubbing alcohol to clean, and the best restorer and protectant... 303 trim restorer and protectant.3. My opinion and experience: don’t use Meguiar’s back to black spray. This is what exactly stain my back trim on the bumpers on my Honda Pilot. I felt hopeless until I rediscovered the use of Goo Gone as a heavy duty cleaner for really badly stained and badly dirty trims. Thanks God for enlighten me with that idea through a local seller!!All the best for you guys!!

Absolutely blown away by how good this product works. Doesn't take much to do the job. A nice toothpaste size pour on the provided brush and you have anough for about a 6x6 inch area. Did all the trim around my wheel well and the rear lift gate and barely made a dent in how much of the bottle I used. Didnt really think my trim was faded. I needed it to clean 3+ month old dried wax on my trim that I couldn't remove with anything around the house. ABSOLUTELY made my trim look brand new and EASILY removed old dried wax. Had to do the the rest of my car because it restored a deep, dark, yet we'll hydrated looking shine to the one spot. It made the rest of the trim look old and sun dried. Would definitely buy more but by how much I used on my whole car, or lack there of, I won't be needing any any time soon. Fantastic product, would certainly recommend.

My problem: I waxed my car which has a large amount of plastic trim and I inevitably got the wax on the black plastic trim which left a white residue. This white residue from the wax DID NOT wash off (as I learned after 3 car washes performed by yours truly).I started to get frustrated and turned to the internet for an answer.I read a LOT of reviews. Finally, I settled with this product. My reasoning was that there were other good reviews about the topic from people who had similar problems as mine, it was middle of the range in price, and it focused on cleaning the trim rather than restoring it. There are a lot of products out there for trim restoration but my car is brand new, I didn't need restoration, I needed cleaning. (side note: those restoration products might also work - I'm just walking you through my thought process)I applied the product to the provided brush and brushed away. It worked. It worked too well. So, being the skeptic I am I only applied the product to one area of my car's trim. A day later it still looked great and 2 days later I decided to real test will come after a good car wash.It worked. No more white wax residue on my black plastic trim. I was happy enough to write a review.

This is another product that I was skeptical about... but it works! The vehicle I used it on is a 2003 with lots of dark grey body trim. It was looking really really bad. It had that milky, faded look and I really didn't think there was any coming back from its current condition short of having them painted. I washed all the surfaces really well first and made sure everything was dry. The scrub brush they give you is a bit on the small side but I suspect its to keep you from doing too large a section at a time. I applied the gel liberally and scrubbed... really scrubbed. I made sure to move the brush in different directions - circles, back and forth, up and down, etc. It seemed logical that this was the best way to not miss any small sections and work the cleaner well into all of the textured surfaces. After really scrubbing (and I do mean putting some effort into it) I then wiped the gel off the moldings. Then used another clean cloth to scrub the surface further... this actually yielding even more of a cleaning result and I could clearly see the grey/dirt on the cloth. A couple of sections were pretty bad and I repeated the cleaning which seem to do the trick. So far so good. Im impressed. You really do have to put some elbow grease into it and make sure to remove all of the gel and then buff it further with another clean cloth. That really seemed to produce the best results. We are expecting some rain this weekend so I will see how well it survives and see if it really cleaned and not just made it pretty on the surface. So far it looks like it actually cleaned the bumpers and not just applied silicone to make them shiny. So far so good. Worth the time and few bucks in my opinion.
