You can remove the sling swivel mount from the bracket or attach it with the bracket it comes with. It fit in the port of my AR 15. I pick my gun up by it, no slippage. It makes a loud metal click when it slides in. Sounds no way it would fall out.I believe the bad reviews either received a dud or are lying to try to get people to overpay for other branded products and probably selling the same ones. Sad day these days you cannot trust even fellow Americans.

Didn't use the mount as it snaps right into the underside of my front sight block on my M&P15. Great fit and holds perfect.

Arrived on time and was as described. It fit perfectly on my rail and I like the quick release. Haven’t used it in the field yet, but don’t have a doubt it will hold up to the test.
