I purchased two sets of these. Used one at the bottom and one at the to make a six foot high ten foot long firewood rack. It’s stable and functional. Great product.

I would normally give it 5 stars, but base footer needs to be wider than 13 inches for more stability, if you plan to make the vertical 2X4s higher than 4 feet. Mine are 6 feet, but I secured the top horizontal 2X4s to my existing metal post on my Barn's lean-to cover support post with metal tapping screws.

I purchased a few of these over the years and they all still look great and are holding our split wood very well. I even put one 8’ rack built with these on wheels and I just rolled it from our storage area 60’ away, still carries the load. The others are just on the pavement with just the straight 8’ 2X4’s, except for one we mad into a tri-rack, saves on one bracket so with one more set I can make another tri-rack.

Very sturdy, hold firewood securely. Perfect size for a truck load of firewood and versatile! You can buy a cover for the firewood or simply adapt this by installing a roof. When empty, it is lightweight and can be moved around easily. The firewood rack was easy to put together.

As others mention the slots aren't super snug for most common U.S. 2x4 lumber but this wasn't really an issue. The provided screws were rubbish and I'd used some sturdier outdoor rate screws of two different lengths depending on the connection face. Assembly was easy, final form was sturdy, and provided a great looking stack. I recommend propping them up on 6-12" cinderblock slabs to keep them off the ground. Placing a block just inside the brackets on each end a block midway across my eight food span worked well to support the base 2x4s. Would gladly purchase again if I need to expand my storage.

I live in an apartment with a wood-burning fireplace and wanted to store my wood in a storage unit out of sight. But metal wood racks wouldn’t fit - at least, none big enough to hold enough wood to make it worthwhile.This bracket set requires you to do some hard work measuring, buying 2x4s, cutting them to length, and assembling everything, but for me, it was the right option - I got a narrow-but-tall rack that fits where I need it and still holds a good amount of wood. The brackets are well-made of thick steel, and the screws are good quality too - they don’t strip too easily when screwing them into the wood, although for some of the screws it may help to drill pilot holes first.You’ll likely need a saw, but a simple miter box and saw are pretty cheap.
