I bought some plain Greek yogurt to use as a starter, and have made 5 batches of yogurt so far. It’s simple (especially if you have a food scale) and you can top the yogurt with whatever you’d like (jam, seeds, etc.). Easy to use (one button only), lightweight, and easy to clean the jars.

I have been making beautiful yogurt for 30+ years with no problem--it's not that hard. My old machine broke and I purchased this one, partly on brand recognition and partly on the "satisfaction guarantee" that is fiercely promoted everywhere you look. It worked fine the first 3-4 times then it didn't. I did everything I could to troubleshoot with no results. After my last batch, which I again had to throw out, I checked the temperature of the inside of the unit--it was over 165 degrees. Basically, the machine was killing the starter, it was too hot! I called the number on the brochure that came with the unit and got an automated message saying "they are no longer taking voice messages, send an email". I did that and got no reply. Amazon was great--they took the product back and issued a refund but had to take a $6 "restocking fee". This was annoying but it's not their fault that Mueller is no longer a solid brand. Hopefully they will no longer carry this product. I think the people who are giving it good reviews used it a few times then stopped making yogurt so they never got to a bad result. Yogurt is not hard to make but it does go fast and you need to make it every week, maybe more, if you're really into it, and most people don't have the time.

I don’t know why I enjoy making yogurt so much. There’s plenty of delicious creamy yogurt on sale, but for some reason, I enjoy this hobby. Mueller yogurt maker looks beautiful on my counter. It, turns out a consistently delicious product that needs very little starter, saved from my last batch. ( I usually start with a new starter after three or four batches.)As a suggestion, I wish there was an option to warm the yogurt in one large container, as opposed to the individual glasses. Dividing off into individual cups takes time and some mess.Otherwise, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Es muy sencilla de usar, si se usa buena leche y un buen yougurt para mezclar, en 12 hrs (toda la noche) queda muy sabroso

The best small appliance I've bought so far! The ease of using and cleaning it is the best part! My first batch of yogurt turned out perfectly! Letting it sit in the fridge after it completes the fermentation process is a must but, it's def worth the wait! I'm not a fan of plain yogurt but once I added my extracts, preserves and/or fresh fruit it was definitely the best yogurt I've ever had! I Would def recommend this product! The QR code for the free item didn't work but once I contacted the seller and he/she put me in contact with the company they are now sending the free gift and all responded so quickly. I'm 100% satisfied and happy! The only thing I wish is that the jars and lids would be dishwasher safe but they aren't hard to clean so it's still 5 stars for me... Thank you.

I decided constantly buying $1 yogurts was a waste of money as yogurt can be easily made. I came to Amazon to see what yogurt makers they had to offer. This one immediately caught my eye because Mueller is a great brand of yogurt that unfortunately is no longer sold in America. I purchased it for $24.99 which is a reasonable price. As soon as I got it, I followed the instructions in the handy manual and got to making yogurt. I used 2% milk and a starter from a tub of tub of Walmart brand plain Greek yogurt. Try not to use yogurt that has pectin and other added things. Definitely do not use flavored yogurts.I first used 4 of the 6oz jars, using roughly 22oz of milk and 2oz of yogurt. You don't need to be precise but make sure you add enough starter yogurt. I boiled the milk gently first and let it remain bubbling for a few minutes. This is important to kill off any bacteria that may be in the milk.I put the 4 jars in the unit and plugged it in. I waited 8 hours and checked in my yogurt....Results WERE AWESOME! I HAD THICK, DELIVERY YOGURT. I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE MACHINE AND MYSELF.You can see from the pics how awesome my yogurt looks. I can make it even thicker if I use whole milk, but I don't want that much fat.The taste is delicious and creamy. I look forward to trying other recipes and using other brands as for my starters. All in all, I would recommend this machine. My only gripe is if you don't use all 8 jars, the ones you do use can slide around. What I do is just place 1 jar in each corner.Happy yogurt making!!P.S. Yogurt tastes awesome with chocolate whey mixed in. High protein snack perfect for post workout.

I'm learning to make yogurt, made my first batch by hand with a thermometer, a real pain, I had to babysit it for hours... I did the second batch with this, and it came out beautiful... There is a more expensive version with a digital temp display and temp adjustment, I got the cheaper manual ON/OFF version, with no timer. Everything was well made and quite sturdy. A full batch of 8 jars is only 3 quarts, and if you drain the whey off ( as I do ) that becomes about 1.5 quarts per 8 jar batch... not a lot, but enough for one person, for 2 or 3 days... inexpensive also, plus it has a fairly small footprint on the countertop... 14W x 8D x 6H. Power cord could be longer, but sufficient. Draws 20 Watts ( per manual ) but feels warmer than that... run it for 2 days and consume just 1 KWH. Maybe too small for a family, but for individual beginners ( looking for economy ) this is probably just about ideal.

I am very sorry that I have to write this review. Firstly, the inner box was flimsy and broken but as the outer box was complete , the product looked OK. The main issue is that this product has a two pin American style plug and so I can't use it in my UK sockets. Furthermore it runs on 120volts which means that not only would I have to buy an adapter but I also need a clumsy transformer. I thought of phoning the company as they have 'live' help. However, the calls cost £1.54 a minute so I decided to return the item. I have asked the company to ring me and they may do so yet. Other than that, the jars and design of product look good. I am so very disappointed as I'm sure it might make very good quality yogourts. Update..a few days later. The seller has replied to my enquiries promptly and is going to refund in full with no quibbles. I am very grateful for their understanding in this matter.

I love this machine. It is so easy to use and makes very thick yogurt. I buy organic 3% milk. I boil the milk first. Then it cools down until I can put my pinky finger in without burn. Then I use 3-4 large table spoons of organic greek yogurt or yogurt from previous batch and mix it with some milk and then add it into the entire milk. Stir it and then fill in the jars. I wait 8 hours. And the yogurt comes out very thick, not acidic like many of the store made yogurts, that makes my stomach hurt. We consume either plain or add fruits, jams etc as we like. I strongly recommend this product.
