Bought these to revamp an Indonesian tele and it was a perfect fit. Typically you need to do a bit of sanding on the edges to get them flush to the side of the neck but this was a drop in perfect fit.I did have to take a little off the width to get it to drop in the slot and it was a little tall, but that gives you the room to dial in the nut slots correctly.Great value for the money.

These should be on every guitar mechanic's shelf. Musiclily always comes through with quality products for a great price. These nuts fit every Fender neck made and I have rarely had to do much adjusting or fitting. The sound and sustain far exceed anything that comes with a Squire or MIM or even Fender's own Melamine nut.

If i were to make a single upgrade to most inexpensive guitars it would be to put a bone nut on. For some reason most inexpensive guitars come with a plastic string nut. These range from sort-of-hard to quite soft, all of which kill the tone and resonance in my opinion. Remove the old nut by breaking the glue with a gentle tap (place a block against the nut and tap that)then pull out the old nut. I use a tiny drop of white glue on the bottom of mine to hold it in place. These seem to work well, though not everyone needs 10...

Worked well on a Tele Partscaster build, and a good price for 10 of these. They're easy to shape; works best if you have nut-slot files or some approximation. These nuts have a flat bottom but you can sand them to fit in a radiused slot. Good to have a few around if you have Strats or Teles, and at this price it's not a problem if you ruin a few while you learn how to do this stuff.

These work great on many Asian clones of Strats and Teles. They will work on some USA necks, but the string spacing is narrower. Will not work on necks with a nut slot cut on a radius. For some, this nut will not be tall enough and will require you to shim it. Almost everyone else will have to cut the slots to the appropriate radius of your neck and proper depth. I think the slots are cut on a radius of 14.I'll update this with the measurements when I get one on the bench.

First, the positive aspects. This 10 pack of electric guitar bone nuts are very reasonably priced. The slots were cut very precisely and consistently as were the overall dimensions of each nut in the pack. The bone is uniform in color and of good consistency as far as material composition. As a comparison, I've purchased acoustic guitar bone nuts that were not. The only real drawback I've encounteredwith this product is that the height of the nut is about 1.5 mm shorter than the broken plastic nut that I needed to replace. So, if you're considering buying these, be sure to measure your guitar's nut height first. To compensate for the height difference, I ended up cutting a couple of 3mm x 42 mm strips from one of those thin plastic bubble remover cards that you get with a phone screen protector. It took quite a bit of trimming and sanding to get them to the right size. I was in a hurry to find out if I could use the nut so I did it that way, but I'm not sure a plastic shim is the best solution in terms of being a good conductor of string vibration and sound resonance, which is the the primary reason to use a bone nut in the first place, as far as I can tell. The next time I install one of these, (if it turns out to be too short on the next guitar) I plan to cut a strip of thin hardwood maple veneer that I have on hand, superglue it to the bottom of the nut, and then sand it to the correct height. I figure since the fretboard is hard wood, wood on wood is better than plastic on wood, or at least it seems that that it should be. Perhaps I should have spent a little more on taller bone nuts. Maybe they'll work out a little smoother for you...don't forget to measure your old nut before ordering and then decide! 10 bone nuts for around $12-13 is a pretty good deal.

Bought this to repair my Telecaster and found it just perfect as replacement.A bit brittle (broke one, thus one star less, I guess, being made out of cattle bone, as claimed) but otherwise just perfect with enough care in installation. While it requires a bit of work, getting the right string to fret displacement, at the end of the day, it seems true to it's claim to enhance the sustain.Definitely cost effective and recommended.
