If you’ve been DJing on two channels so far, doubling down on decks means way more freedom in your mix – like Layering beats, firing off samples, or keeping a Banger track parked on deck C. At the heart of the tractor control S3 is the four-channel mixer, with full-length faders, EQ, cueing, and mixer FX control over each deck. Juggle hotcues, samples, and loops with eight RGB pads on each deck. When it’s time to take things further, switch decks and keep on-track with the jog wheel light rings. When it’s time to get your mix on, there’s plenty of jog wheel to go around. Touch-sensitive and super smooth, they’re not just for nudging and stalling, but feel great for scratch workouts too. Rgb light rings let you know which deck is playing at a glance, and warn you when you’re almost out of track. Fire off samples, loop drum patterns, chop in vocal cuts, or even work your own productions into the mix if that’s your thing. Loop any part of a track and assign it to a pad, or skip to any part of your track using hotcues. Traktor Pro’s beat sync means you’ll never lose the groove. Cut the kick and open a reverb, or chop things up with a dotted delay – mixer FX are one-touch effects on each channel, great for building energy, shaping your sound, or just going wild. Choose from eight effects and three filters, and assign them to the dedicated slots on the mixer for quick access. Traktor control S3 comes paired with the full version of Traktor Pro 3 – packed with expressive features and re-edit tools for truly unique, performative mixing. Grab a portable speaker, hook up an iPad, and take your S3 on the road With Traktor DJ 2 – mix with two channels on a streamlined interface, and dig through a bottomless record crate with Soundcloud go+ integration. Set up and spin with punchy, pro-grade XLR and RCA main outputs with a huge dynamic range, as well as a ¼” TRS booth output, and 3. 5/ 6. 3 mm headphone outputs. For hooking up a vocalist or Mc, there’s a dedicated combo XLR input on board, as well as an additional RCA input for mixing with external audio.

Here are the many benefits:1. Two types of master output.2. One stereo input for your sampler, CDJ, drum machine, etc.3. Jack and Mini-Jack for the CUE.4. Really good quality and clean design.5. Works with different software (sometimes I use Djay Pro).6. Good sound engine.7. Ability to assign different FX on each deck.8. Price: I bought it for 379 GBP, but it comes with Traktor Pro 3 for free, which costs around 100 GBP. It feels like you're buying this controller for 279 GBP, which is the price of a Pioneer FLX4.I really love it. There is enough space to do your mixing and prepare additional tracks/drones/percs for decks 3 and 4.

Great Pro deck for controlling Traktor. The S3 is NI’s middle level controller. A bit bigger and boasts more features than the S2 but not as overpriced (IMO) as the S4. For me, this is the perfect Traktor deck. I have mine configured with two track decks, a sample deck plus one live input for a small synth. Highly recommend.

This is a truly great controller with virtual DJ. I am exceptionally happy with it. I don't know if the volume output level sucks as some other reviews say because I use a usb DSP for output. But I can say that the build quality and functional control offered by this are top notch. Personally I had no other choice as I wanted a clean look and layout and full support from virtual dj and in my opinion this was the only dj controller on the market that offered that. So I'm glad it worked out.

The headphone volume is so low you can’t mix. It’s a shame that no one has done anything to correct this issue!

I LOVE it. It even works uncovered but at a much lower volume. I believe this is one of their few remaining boards that still support ios so I can use it with my M1 iPad.Tech support is ok--you can't talk to anyone, but they do fine through email. It takes a long time (about a week or so), but they DO eventually get back to you.
