I bought this as I have a problem with clenching my teeth in the gym while working out. Works amazing and is super comfy!

I actually got this for a much more different purpose than I think the vast majority of folks do -- I needed something appropriate to bite down on while using my neck decompression harness, which is very hard on my teeth and jaw to use for the 5-10 mins at a time that I need it. While using it, I am basically suspended by my chin and the base of my skull. This little miracle worker does the trick BEAUTIFULLY, keeping my jaw and teeth completely comfortable for my sessions. It doesn't make me gag, and the fact that it holds my mouth open a bit actually makes breathing much easier. The only thing that is a bit difficult is swallowing, but I've found a small workaround by just slightly raising up and releasing the tiniest bit of pressure on the harness when I need to (and in the harness it'd still be almost impossible without it). This has made a critical part of my care routine infinitely more tolerable, allowing me to be much more consistent. The initial sizing instructions were super easy to follow, and while my palate is a bit small to align on the exact teeth recommended, it has not hindered my ability to use it in any way.

Update (May 7, 2024): I've been using these 5 days a week for about 3 months now, and the durability has been great! I wish I can show some pics, but unfortunatelyI misplaced these after cleaning out my gym bag. They have outlasted a previous custom made mouthguard that I paid over $100 for which only lasted me 2 months before the underside side split on both ends. These 6DS have seen no split to affect its structural integrity. I've bitten through the top layer with bits of the red layer exposed on the inner side of where my top molars bites down, but they surprisingly still were holding up structurally. I have had no issues with jaw pain, and still had great teeth protection from chipping during the literal grind sessions. My progressive overload have increased weekly by reps with these on, and I dare not even test that without these as I don't want to throw off any progressive overload metrics with this mouthguard included in the equation. Today at the gym, I resorted to another backup mouthguard, and realized how much harder it was to breathe with full teeth coverage, compared to this 6DS. I've thus ordered another one. Overall, This version has been THE BEST mouthguard I've ever used, even better than any customs you can find anywhere. I wish these came out earlier before I wasted hundreds of dollars on customs. I'll be back for more when I Iose them, and/or they wear down.Original review: Wow. Fantastic job New Age! This low profile piece beats the first version by a mile for fit and comfort so far! My hope had dispersed into thin air with this brand for weightlifting mouth guards several years back with their first version (5DS). Back then trying that version out, It was too chunky, and the fit was just awful. Their brand became synonymous with gag and discomfort--to me, at least. Recently, I accidentally came across this newer version, and decided MAYBE they figured it out for other groups of lifters, so I gave them another go. It was a FINE decision at that so far! I'm rating it mostly only for the fit and comfort since I haven't really taken it to the iron house yet.Firstly, let me preface this review by mentioning that I'm a female lifter, and under 5 feet tall, around 110lbs. This is to suggest that I'm probably smaller than 99% of all the people reading this right now so my mouth is proportionately small like the rest of my body size. When I formed this, it fit PERFECTLY and COMFORTABLY on the first go. I don't get the gag reflex at all which is just the sugar on top because the majority of mouth guards cause that. If it fits my tiny @**, this one size fits all should be able to form fit to 99% of everyone else, provided you follow the video instructions, and also fit it with the right side up. I love it so far. After getting it set, I took it to my old Covid gym (garage), and smashed a couple of dumbbell chest presses with 80% of my 1RM. Jaw felt very stabilized, and concentric upwards force thru the supported clench is more. I can also breathe good. I knocked out a few more reps than I would have without this sucker on, and I love it so far. The only thing left to discuss is the durability of it, and I'll be back to update.

My experience with this mouth guard was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I put it on, I felt like I was strapping myself into a medieval torture contraption. The discomfort was unbearable – it's as if the designers had no understanding of basic ergonomics. Not only is the gear uncomfortable, but it's also incredibly bulky. Forget about any fluidity in your workout; this thing is a hindrance more than a help.To make matters worse, it doesn't even fit properly. The sizing seems like a cruel joke. It's either too tight in some areas, cutting into your gums, or too loose, rendering it ineffective. It's baffling how a product so poorly designed made it to market. After struggling with this monstrosity, I finally decided to cut my losses and throw it away. It's a shame that something marketed for training turned out to be nothing more than a source of frustration and disappointment. Save your money and sanity – this product is complete garbage.

I was skeptical at first, but because I was chipping my teeth from biting too hard I had to do something. I can honestly say that this mouthpiece has allowed me to increase my gains consistently for over a month now, and I do feel more balanced when I bite down on it. Dentistry bills can be expensive, so the price of this gives me a bit of comfort along with those gains.
