It became a conversation piece in my living and I gifted it to my sister in Switzerland, who loved it. I used it both to understand my own medical condition, and for self healing using imagery.
They feel cheap for sure

I got this for chiropractic school. Its generally anatomically correct but does not have good movement and is not very accurate in biomechanics. The occiput is also fused to the atlas so you can't see how it moves. It looks nice but I will have to upgrade eventually.

Used in a dr. office to explain different conditions. Works perfectly and bends exactly where we need it to.

Love the detail of these spines. I bought two for each exam room in my chiropractic clinic and they are holding up nicely. Great for patient education.

My spouse is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) and Massage Therapist (MT), so this review is based primarily on his words and expertise. When he first saw this, he was absolutely floored by what a great spine model it is. He said it almost feels real; before closer inspection, one might almost question whether it's a real spine. The texture and details are impressive, from the bony landmarks (e.g., where muscles attach to the spine), to the gel-like yellow tubes representing where the main nerves run along the spine, to the example of a herniated disk, illustrated as a red bulge, between two of the lower vertebrae. It's a phenomenal learning tool practitioners can use to demonstrate medical scenarios, complications, and diagnoses. The inclusion of the occipital bone at the top is unique from most spine models, and it allows more illustration of how the cranial region intersects with the upper spine. The pelvic girdle is also well constructed, though the pelvis model is entirely fixed, whereas in a real human pelvis, there would be some small joints (this isn't quite a criticism, though, as the model emphasizes the spine, and the pelvic girdle is illustrative relative to the spine). The fact that the femur ball and socket articulate (i.e., you have to assemble the upper femur to the pelvic girdle yourself) is a nice touch, as you can view proper hip rotation. Finally, the spine's overall rotation is impressive, particularly in the lateral sense. The spine can twist realistically from side-to-side, though the full top-to-bottom flexibility is necessarily limited by the metal bar inside that holds it all together. Even so, there is still enough axial flexibility to demonstrate how the spine moves in general. In all, this is a truly superior model of the spine and adjacent skeletal features.

I’m a licensed nurse but I actually purchased this flexible spine model for living room decor. I’m into gothic design aesthetic so this was right up my alley. The spine model is very detailed and would serve as an awesome learning tool. It has great flexibility and although it is lightweight; it still has enough weight to it, that it’s not just going to topple over. It’s definitely a conversation starter. I think it’s a lovely piece of art, more than anything else.I do have a few minor squabbles though. There are no instructions. The stand is not assembled and neither are the ball socket hip joints. If you are someone with no knowledge of where the hip joints go then you might be a little confused about how to get them on.And in my personal opinion, the metal hanging stand is just too flimsy. I feel that there could be a better way to hang the spine model. This stand has a tendency to fall over if the spine model’s wright shifts off-center. Perhaps incorporating a solid base stand would be better.Regardless, I really like this spine model. I recommend it as an educational tool as well as a beautiful and interesting piece of decor.
