I was using the saw to cut some ¾" and 1" plastic rod and it kept bogging down and stalling so I decided to see what full speed would do. Glad I did because it went through it like a hot knife through butter. It left a very good cut quality too. I highly recommend this saw for small jobs. Can't wait to use the other 2 blades especially the abrasive metal cutoff blade. I used the fine tooth blade because I think the big tooth blade is for wood. Again full speed would probably do 95% of your cuts.

Ok for cutting small light wood but for cutting any metal even 1/4 inch metal rods it has no power, hack saw is 100% better and faster!

I really like this! Was using to cut edgeband for my wood shelves and gives a nice clean cut.I wish that the area to cut was flush and not elevated at the end though cause with wood there is no place for it to rest. Just cut slow.
