Assolutamente 5 stelle!

Very good bargain and really good quality. Pretty easy to set up and learn. The free version of the software only offers a few sound samples, but it’s enough to practice the functions of the mixer. My son and I bought it to practice mixing, but we were pleasantly surprised with all the features like backlit buttons and easy to use software. The party light function is also really cool, though we haven’t used it at a party.

I'm not "technically" a beginner, but I'm so far removed from mixing I might as well be. Back in college (early 2000's) I bought a used set of technics turntables and a vestax 2 channel mixer and got into Trancecore/freeform in its early stages of existing. I didn't DJ professionally at all I just enjoyed the mixing aspect of music. I probably shouldn't have bought it I just treated it as a hobby. As a hobby it was quite expensive.I just now decided to get back into mixing as a hobby and went for one of the cheaper options. This is my first foray into MIDI controllers for computers and so far I'm enjoying it. I tried all the pure software options and it left me wishing for hardware, which I now have due to purchasing the Numark Partymix. Reading the other reviews about Virtual DJ it left me curious because when I purchased it came with "Serato Lite", which I tried for a bit but I don't really like it due to the lack of available setup options (audio, etc...).I purchased the home license of Virtual DJ because it matches the Numark controller perfectly. After one evening session I am really enjoying it, just gotta get the hang of exactly how I want to route the Audio (directly through the hardware or from the computer, because if you split it it clearly causes audio-sync issues).I left it 4 stars because of the software licensing issue (Serato just doesn't provide enough for me, if it included a full home license for Virtual DJ that would be better), otherwise the hardware feels nice, the sliders/knobs have a nice "weight" to them that I almost expected a more plasticky feel due to the low cost. Buttons feel nice and clicky.

I’m an experienced professional DJ who uses a full size Numark controller. I bought this for my Grandson who has expressed an interest in music mixing. I opened it when it arrived to check it out. It was cute and looked like a miniature version of my pro Numark controller. I connected it to one of my laptops and after tweaking a couple of settings it was working perfectly with Virtual DJ. This little mixer is very impressive. It does most of what my expensive pro unit can do. I had fun testing it out. It has a surprisingly good feel for being an inexpensive unit. Honestly, I could go out tonight and do an actual DJ show with this and it would not sound much different than it’s big brother. This is NOT a toy. I am very impressed. my Grandson is going to LOVE it!

Love it. Works great with Serato DJ Pro or PCDJ Dex 3, no issues with either software. I just used it for a small breakfast fundraiser. Plugged it into my ion tailgater, turned up the music and people got up to dance. It's great for an impromptu, small, community or really - any event, especially if space is an issue.I do have a full size setup with 15" speakers, pioneer controller, mixer, etc., but sometimes all that is just overkill for an unplanned small event that may come up last minute. Love my mini setup. Nobody, except an elitist DJ in the audience would care that it's so tiny, or anything about how it looks. It's cute, compact and does the job.

So I know the Party Mix has been out a while, but no one seems to have written any useful reviews outside of Amazon and so I had to figure out a lot myself. I started with a Numark Mixtrack with an external sound card, but I decided to give it a proper solution a try when I saw this on sale for $90. Setup and integration into my VDJ 8.2 build was simple, or at least until I tried to maximize efficiency.I remapped the controller by making CUE the shift key, then giving most some keys a second function (ex. Pitch reset for sync, filter for gain, etc). Coding was quite easy after I got used to the style used, although it still takes a while to achieve the desired results at times. As for the product itself, it's great build quality for something that inexpensive, although I would have liked a few changes: Smoother knobs / crossfader, a separate USB cable, proper pads (not clicking bottons), and touch sensitive jogs (not that you can scratch on it to begin with, but I tried to make it work).Additionally, being able to map the rear lights more easily would be much appreciated, and the "program 3" that supposedly properly flashes to the beat (opposed to with the bpm) seems to be voltage controlled or however most circuits of that type are run, because it's usually just a solid light at higher volumes.Despite the flaws, I don't want to be comparing it to any of the Numark Mixtrack controllers or my buddy's Pioneer DDJ-SX. This is meant to be a controller for beginners, and although I tweaked it to milk the most I could from the Party Mix, it was almost a humbling experience because I began focusing less on effects and more on the basics I had honestly forgotten while working on the MIDI mapping and my playlist edits.I'll add to this as I go, and I'll try to answer questions when possible.
