Your cart is empty. This listing is for a roof vent cap for use with RV's, trailers, or motorhomes. These are made with PVC, and UV stabilizers were added, so they won't fade easily. The base is 5-1/4" in diameter, and it's 3" tall with the top part installed. There are 6 screw holes at the base, 3 of which are also used to secure the top cap to the base. Please note that installation hardware is not included in this listing.

I bought this for our motorhome to replace a unit where the cap had broken off and the legs on the base were broken off. Right off I liked the streamlined design, especially the fact that the cover has legs that extend all the way down to the roof and actually screw into the base of the unit and then into the roof. This also means that a lightweight branch is way less likely to sweep across, get caught, pull off, and break the cap like can so easily happen with the old style ones. Also, if something did happen to the cap portion on this design it's a very easy fix. You just take out three screws and replace the cap rather than having to replace, clean up the surface, and re-caulk in a whole new unit. When I installed it I found the holes in this vent cap's base didn't match the ones previously drilled for the original. No worries, it's so easy and only takes around a minute to drill new ones. Fill the old ones with caulk and you'll be done with installation in no time. Just make sure that for the best venting action you install it with an open side facing forward. I'm very pleased with this product and it's smart design. To me, the plastic's weight and durability seemed comparable to other vent cap units I've checked into. I'm planning to buy a couple more to replace the rest of the vent caps on my motorhome.

Don't forget when you install it to seal around the pipe itself and rotate the cover to block the wind as you're driving

Nice replacement for the factory installed sewer vent cover. What I like about it. The cover is held on with 3 of the 6 screws that hold the base on. Unlike the factory one that only had a single screw holding on the cap. Which on my 2,000 mile trip they broke off. These will not have that problem.

I replaced all my vent covers on my rv with these and it's been wonderful. I no longer have to wonder where the caps have gone. Easy to install and worth the money for sure.

Easily installed after removal of a broken equivalent plumbing stack vent cap. Used the Ziollo RV Flex Repair Caulking Lap Sealant - Self Leveling EPDM Sealant to seal off the edges with no issues.

Great price! Replaced my disintegrating roof vents and was as easy as the next replacement project... the work is in caulk removal and prep. Pray the proper lap sealant was used on original install because anything sealed with silicon-based products will be much tougher to prep. Which goes without saying, get plenty of lap sealant! Another thing I did was clean all areas getting lap sealant with rubbing alcohol. You have to use old rags to do this, paper towels will not work. My vents did not have any kind of bug screens, so I did not bother putting any in. Never had any type of bug problem, so it felt unnecessary. Your milage may vary.... if I was near a swamp, I may think differently:)

Used these to replace where my old vent caps were on my camper. Product quality seems good, time will tell. Only wish they came with some hardware. Luckily I had some screws at the house.
