Our Central Vac motor started to make really loud noises. The bearing the shaft rides on had worn out and it was wobbling. It was just past the 5-year warranty. This one came well packaged with sufficient (not great) instructions on how to replace the failed unit. It came with new mounting cushions and new nylon-based mounting lock nuts. So, I had everything I needed. Unit is working great now and MUCH quieter. I also took the opportunity to clean all the intake and exhaust filters that are part of the vacuum. That is something that should be done yearly and isn't that hard.
