Well made pump for transferring liquids from 55 gallon drums. This pump is easy to assemble and attach to your drum. Pulls a decent amount of fluid from drum with each pump of the lever. Would definitely recommend.

Has made providing water for my cat rescue so much easier! If using this on the top of a 55 gallon drum double check the size of the opening to make sure it matches up with the ring on the bottom of the pump.

I ordered this for a 55 gallon blue plastic barrel. The pics show using a metal barrel which they made this for. The pump does not have the right size fitting for the plastic barrel. If you watch the video, the guy does not mention this. He uses a plastic barrel for the demonstration, but you can see he is holding it over the opening, it's not actually attached. There is also no mention of any type of adapter that will work, so I'm not sure what I need to attach it to my plastic barrel. As far as the the pump, it works fine. I tested it using a 5 gallon bucket. As others have mentioned, it does seem a little flimsy and long term usage is yet to be determined. But as far as using only for emergencies, it will probably work just fine. I do like the fact that this is a US based company and the owner's manual was written so it's understandable.

I have this on a 50 gallon drum that I catch rain water in. It works very well at my off grid camp. I pump water into a bucket then carry it inside for use. This pump moves a large volume of water quickly. It is all plastic, but seems fairly durable and is sturdy when installed. Its performance and quality is beyond my expectations. I am considering digging a shallow well and using this as the primary pump, it's that dependable. For the price and quality you simply won't go wrong with this hand pump especially if using with a drum.
